Rubbish it’s self discipline something as a race we haven’t got just look at what goes on abroad in the resorts you always know when brits are about.
It’s been well publicised what will happen if people don’t stick to the rules. That’s why they should stop the pubs opening nest Saturday because we all know what’s going to happen

This should be in the joke section, BLM rallies/protests, gathering on beaches and the Dale's, an illegal party in Brixton etc are because of Cummings mad weekend.
These people don't care about anyone but themselves they will do whatever they feel they want to do.

The non sacking of Cummings was the wake up call that people needed that this government and most just care about themselves. Boris should have sacked him but he didn't and that was the start.

Leaders lead and Boris is no leader. All what you have mention came after Cummings act you do know this don't you?

Mate, come on! Most people stuck by the lockdown rules. The MP's didn't.

It’s all well and good having a go at folk going to the beach, no one there was in the wrong, they all could have gone there with the best intentions of following the guidelines. The problem is, so did everyone else. That’s the problem with easing lockdown too early, there’s no stopping people independently deciding that they want to go to a particular spot at a particular time.

So your trying to convince us all if Dominic Cummings had been sacked we would not have seen recent events, yes I do realise most of the rallies, protests parties by the river were after Cummings weekend away, that's the point I'm making your trying to put the blame on that one incedent.

They should lead from the front. What he did sets a precedent and gives an excuse. An excuse that would be hard to argue against.

Well did you go to the beach, Dale's,BBQ, have large gatherings at your home, I doubt it as your a resonable human being as it sounds the vast majority are who post on here.
Remember a lot of this was prior the easing of lockdown.
I think they are leading from the front, Boris actually got Covid-19 can't get much nearer leading from the front than being on a ventilator in ICU with a killer virus ;).

I'm sure some people will use Dominic Cummings as an excuse but, whilst his actions weren't helpful, I think that's hardly the main reason for people disobeying the rules.

There are always some that will ignore such rules and, once some were seen to get away with it, it was fairly obvious what was going to happen. Now we have large numbers ignoring the rules and still being allowed to get away with it. It's easy to see what happens next.

We have already paid a high price for this virus (some much more than others), excess deaths, loss of freedoms and a huge financial burden going forwards. Most were prepared to play their part, in the hope that we could get through this as relatively unscathed as possible. Now a very large minority are going to throw those sacrifices away, unchecked by a government that, once again, seems to look like the scared rabbit caught in the headlights.

HEALTH Secretary Matt Hancock has threatened to shut beaches if social distancing measures are ignored after a major incident was declared in Bournemouth yesterday.

What rules? There’s no rules stopping people driving a few miles to a beach, there hasn’t for a while. Everyone at those beaches did what they did within what’s been set out by the government. They just decided to do it at the same time.

Packed trains (supposed to be essential journeys only), illegal parking (blocking emergency routes), camping, fighting, hundreds urinating in public places, ignoring social distancing etc. and that's just Bournemouth.

But you can’t stop any of that without having a lockdown. There’s literally nothing you can do about 100,000 people turning up at a beach on the same day within the current rules. If you don’t want so many people turning up on a beach, don’t ease lockdown.

I got a train across the country thursday and it was deserted, i was one of 3 people in the entire carriage.

A little update as well for those that will be wanting to go to pubs when they re-open, after having covid training yesterday I wouldn't advise you go for a couple of weeks so the pubs can see how to make the guidance work in reality. If you absolutely have to, the bigger pub chain you can get to the better as our compliance guys were pretty confident the big chains will have seen the guidance that came out yesterday weeks ago, so will be the most prepared. get ready for table service, perspex bar screens, table bookings, ordering through an app only, the venue taking your name and contact details on entry and being told off for shouting.

as I'm sure everyone was probably expecting the pubs will look very different to how they did before.

Welsh beaches were empty. Saw some pictures on twitter of it. Clear advice from their government.

Let’s be fair the majority stuck to the rules in the lockdown. This exiting has Been a real big mess. There is no way we will lockdown again no matter what happens. We can’t even track people properly and we can’t enforce a localised lockdown. We are getting on with it because they want the economy back up and running. Nothing else.

It's not Hancocks roll and minsters have said they won't be shutting beaches.

Hancock is talking out of his behind. He can't do anything now and won't. Britain is open for business.
