    Forget the housing market.

For months I have been trying to avoid people but now I can walk into a strangers house. Makes no sense.

This government has given up on people.

To open the economy then just do it fully.

Also make sure you can see family before strangers.... when do want me round at your house?

I feel it’s more that they rightly don’t trust people to show common sense around family members. People are just more likely to get complacent around family members. And a work place or someone trying to sell their house needs to ensure they put social distancing procedures in place and if they don’t they will be fearful of being reported but your family members aren’t going to and you aren’t going to report them for not doing so (unless you hate them)

On the only seeing 1 parent outside I suspect that’s a logistical reason. It’s open to abuse if family has a special exemption and it’s harder for the police to manage as they would have to check if you are telling the truth about them being family.

Oh it might have just to do with stamp duty money the government receives.

I get what you are saying but we have been told to stay at home for 7/8 weeks but now we are all in a stranges home to look around and touch their doorknobs for 15 mins. Makes no sense to me.

Seriously, this lockdown and this government is clueless! Boris, Hancock, the lot of them.. it's been a shambles from the start.

My guess would be that they dont want too many people mingling, so they were faced with a choice. Allow people to visit family members (which in the wider picture provided nothing back), or allow people back to work and get the economy going again.

They chose the second option for the good of everyone.

You have been calling for the economy to be open since this started, now you moan about it. Clown. You are just as mad as the media.. who aren't happy with any decision made either.

Sure there is a money element as both the stamp duty and being able to get the whole housing market moving which is a significant contributor to the economy because they need to reduce the amount of people they are having to give support to and also bring in more money to fund those who still need financial help.

But ultimately the lock down is being loosened in ways where it’s both easier from a logistical POV to control and in areas where social distancing policies can be implemented (with viewing a house they can ensure contact is kept at over 2 metres, they can limit how many come to view it at one time and keep a good gap between viewings and they can both provide disinfectant for those viewing and also disinfect anything the view might have touched)

That's the problem with following Bradford City. The only consistency is inconsistency.

    Right about Primary schools opening
Right about no Force Majeure for sport tv contracts
Right about PL wanting to return
Right about div 1 & 2 clubs(most of them) acting like poor run businesses and letting the EFL down.
Right about the Conservatives being a joke
Right about the lockdown being a waste of time considering it was to protect the over 70's mainly but now most over 70's think they're superman.
Right about the damage to the economy from lockdown
Right about Furlough being used as as an excuse by many not to go back to work
Right about high redundancies coming and certainly to millions on Furlough.

I could go on.... but hey can you handle the truth? I have things to do.

Shhh. So have I up to now, within reason though. No mass family gathering and short visits. But there is no way Mrs Idle and I will be visting daughter and grandson separately.

VE Day was tempting to have family round for a get together, but we resisted
