That's bad news - I really hope if the UK does at some point ban exercise, it's in cities that don't comply.

I'm not saying Bradford is perfect by any means, but the scenes from the weekend from areas of London weren't replicated here. Peel Park was fairly busy, but people were exercising and maintaining distance.

If big cities can't keep it together, lock them down first.

    That doesn't sound right.

No coronavirus to date has had any kind of resilience - when infection and death rates have begun to drop, these viruses have all dissipated in the past.

We haven't actually got to that stage yet, but if China are even half-way right in the figures they're reporting, then it looks like that's true for Covid19 as well.

What's he talking about 'seasonal nature'? We haven't had a single season yet with this virus being prevalent.

Gotta say, sounds like another expert trying to make a headline.

Everybody else is even saying that a vaccine should be available by the end of this year - so how is that 18-24 months?

    I'm calling bullshit on that.

Because one of their biggest companies which is a travel company says domestic flights will more than likely start back in June.

Plus lockdown until Christmas just isn't going to happen.

Oh, yeah, I'm not saying it's an irrelevant source or not worth sharing - but for the reasons I outlined, I don't believe this expert will be proved right.

One thing's for sure, what times like this tell us is that even the most enlightened experts don't know a lot, relatively speaking. They know a lot more than you and I, and a lot of other people, but they don't know nearly enough to be making long-term predictions either way.

I'm happy to side with most other experts who aren't saying 18-24 months, because it doesn't make logical sense to make that case in my view with the evidence available.

Trump says the UK has asked the US to send 200 ventilators to treat coronavirus patients there.

"We're going to work it out for them," Trump promises, saying the UK has been a great partner to the US.

He says the UK needs ventilators "desperately".

-we're so struggling for equipment. It's highly concerning

Interesting info that Fordy. I am due back over Jun 3 (with wife and grandson) but still waiting on an update from Delta. Wife thinks it is unlikely we'll be able to travel. Hoping Delta give us option for a refund but as yet nothing official. They gave a cut off date of May 31, if they extend it a week we'll get a refund. But that brings the next issue, me being selfish. The reason I come home every spring or fall break (half term to you guys) is not to see City, although that's a bonus however crap we're playing, but to see my mum and rest if family. At 84 and not in the best of health it really is important to me (and her) that I get over. Hoping that in next 6 to 8 weeks, travel advisories are lifted, at least then I'll be able to rebook and get across at some point late June/July.

Only time will tell regarding the vaccines because when it first broke out they were saying it could be 18 months to get one.

If said company says all flights till June are cancelled they only have to issue refunds up to June. When it comes to the end it May they then can cancel June and claim July...

They're taking bookings again in June also.

What people seem to forget is bodies of injuries will be talking to the government and it won't be let's shout out the government said this.

June isn't a date the airlines have come up with, it will be on government advice.

I have a holiday booked with Jet2 to Italy for August. I would say the chances of me still going is no more than 50/50. I am surprised they are still marketing holidays for June

There's a difference between lockdown and social distancing. Some form of social distancing for 12-18 months isn't unrealistic. i.e. mass gatherings. I think there'll be controls in place for a long time.

Agreed. All they've done is draw a line in the sand to be able to start selling. They've scheduled a restart in their flight program - they don't know whether they'll be able to fulfill that or not, they just need to get revenue coming in again.
