    Bit disturbed that you had more than one.

    Good thinking though, gets it out of the way early doors and you've now got the rest of the year to look forward to without the dark shadow of hot x buns hanging over you.

    Boiler fault found, fixed temporarily bush style. Mice had somehow got inside and partially eaten the insulator cover seal on the ignition electrode and the spark was leaking out to the case, sometimes it’d light, more often it wouldn’t and lock out meaning a manual reset attempt outside every time. New ignition electrode and ignitor seal, about £65. Plumber call out for weds, cancelled. Someone’s had a go at it before as one of the screws holding the electrode to the case was broken and the seal in pieces. Feels good tbh. Afternoon well spent.

    Just come up with an idea of putting steps down to our cellar, currently we have to go outside.

    does anyone have any experience in doing such a thing and was it a massive job.

    my other idea is to just put a ‘loft hatch’ in the floor under the stairs and stick a ladder down
