Fair enough, that's your view. Economic priorities over public health.

No life has to go on. Public health will suffer because obesity and depression will vastly increase and people will die from other issues.

I just think everything points to June and Boris will be acting like Trump.

Trump is acting like this now because he claims to have a tablet in production and now on a positive mission.

Boris needs to start delivering positivity now because living like this long term is impossible.

I hope that comment is true but I don't believe we will ever find out the true figures from some countries with regards their numbers of deaths, or is your quote with regards UK deaths ?.

How will obesity increase with less food in the shops? To be fair it would do most of our nation good to food rationed for a few weeks.

The figures worldwide are showing 17k have unfortunately died from 400k cases.

Millions won't die from this but millions will lose their job if we don't get back to some normality soon.

You think Trump is driving a message of positivity, but I heard from my ex-pat Aunt and Uncle who live in Boston. They and the people they know are appalled by the position Trump is taking. Its not seen as positive, its seen as reckless and negligent. I quote, 'He's out of his bloody mind. The tsunami hasn't even hit yet and our health services are already not coping. He's very dangerous, he doesn't care about people dying, hospitalized, not enough PPE or ventilators'.

You're entitled to your view on the economy and I share a concern about where this is headed. But I think you're vastly underestimating the public health risk. And I hope that over the coming weeks and months, none of your loved ones need any sort of hospital treatment as there's a high chance they won't be getting it.

The army will definitely be planning field hospitals, and reccying sports halls etc to help with treatment. Perhaps luckily, The British Army are well drilled at this kind of thing probably better than NHS staff. My Brother-in-law was part of a team that went to Sierra Leone a few years back, during the Ebola epidemic, they handled that extremely well.

The real heroes who underpin our society are finally being shown in their true worth. When this settles down, I hope people remember. And I hope we find a better way of rewarding those people.

Lack of hospital availability has been a short fall from government for years. I know all about it as my dad was a doctor and mum a nurse back on front line.

Now, we have undervalued doctors and nurses for years and when I can earn twice as much as them with ease and so can others then something is wrong. We pay the head of a tourist board more than a doctor. So don't give it out to me mate, I have grown up with my parents telling me how tough it is.

The problem has been the NHS is out of date, it doesn't work! Not worked for years. You have people earning 30k plus and spend more on cars then the health system then we have a shortage of beds and staff. Well the shortage of staff comes from the lack of pay.

I'm not saying Trump is right. What I am saying is that Boris will be acting the same soon. It's impossible to continue like this for 6-12 months. I suppose I don't want to see people lose their house and jobs then them on the streets.

It goes without saying I don't want people to die but Boris has said from the start people will and my mum tells me how tough it is at the moment but blame it on neglect. Blame the leaders before Boris that didn't protect our health system and unfortunately it's taking an event like this to realise how important it is.

I would rather some positivity now because the truth is for over 70's life won't be the same again. They won't be allowed the sporting events or mass gatherings until a vaccine is created. The world has to continue at some point or we will ruin our kids future also.

Spoons will still have enormous numbers of customers flocking to then for the cheap beer and low priced food once the crisis has passed. So long as Tim can still get his enormous dividend (last year in excess of £100mill!) paid via the UK's Carribean tax haxens, he won't give a monkeys.

Will millions end up homeless if the government measures work? This is to protect the nhs and ensure the people who need treating can get treated. If we all just go out again after 2 weeks then we are back to square one

Boris will be acting like Trump soon??? He already is, he seems to be a Trump appointee to a 51st State. But whereas Trump is trying to do this in an overtly friendly manner to the mega corporations he so richly provided massive tax cuts to, Boris actually seems to be caught between the economic and public health issues.
Crazy leaders, self assured who sit stop their nations eh? (Ian McNabb - Great dreams of heaven)

Or maybe not so much reward people who get paid far too much for what they do. Don't worry, once all this has subsided we'll go back to normal, Mike Ashley will still screw his staff, scumbags will still nick other people's stuff and the selfish people will still be selfish. If a positive could possibly come out of this it would be that people did look out for others and that the care of others would take priority over everything else. But the actions of the public throughout this virus so far should tell.you everything you need to know.
