    Covid is part of some common colds and that thrives in colder weather. The good thing is now we have good testing capacity so hopefully we can keep under control until a possible vaccine can be found

    Definitely that people are becoming more casual and less diligent.

    It would have been easy for one of us to go into school with our son to be with him when he picked up his results but we decided not to. Lots of other parents outside the school socially distancing THEN out of a car came 4 females like something out of my big gypsy wedding. All wearing high heels short skirts, low cut tops*-mutton dressed as lamb and they all piled into the school hall. Only 1 of them was the pupil. I was so embarrassed I didn't know where to look *cough cough*

    The answer is less than 600. That's in over 1200 hospitals and 150,000 beds. Many hospitsls have no coronavirus patients at all. Death rates are now BELOW normal levels and have been for a while, meaning the 'excess deaths' is falling rapidly.

    The slight spike in infections in some areas are in the young and healthy who show no symptoms or very mild ones. The main increase is due to the ramping up of testing, with some councils advising to go get tested even if you have no symptoms whatsoever.

    It took about 15 weeks for excess deaths to reach 65,000 and then has dropped 1,500 in 6 weeks. I wouldn’t call that a rapid drop.

    We got down to around 28 cases a day in Victoria a day then upto over 700 a day within a few week's
