Goalkeepers at this level definitely aren't all that, and it's been frustrating watching players not trying their luck from distance.

I can remember one long ranger at home this season, I think Watt scored it, and there wasn't much danger of it being saved. Great hit it was.

Reminded me of the lad Lewis O'Brien from Town always had time to pick a pass of go at the opposition.

 

His movement off the ball was great. He found space and gave options and wasn't scared of running in behind to travelling with the ball.

His tackle led to the equaliser rather than letting the ball run dead or allow the full back to launch the ball clear.

Strange isn't it, the player who hasn't been with us in training, is the one who looks like he fits in the best.

 

Agree 100%, keepers at this level will make a ton of mistakes but we never do anything to force any errors. Very impressed with Walker, a solid player and hopefully he instils a bit more confidence into the rest of the team.

Apart from the Watt goal from just outside the box I can’t think of another long range goal we’ve scored.
You watch the Efl goal programme on quest on a Saturday night and there are always a fair few decent long range strikes across all the divisions

 

Adams commented on our lake of shooting from outside the box, I suppose its like anything else doing it in training and then in a full blooded game is like chalk and cheese.

 

Some players are just naturally averse to shooting when there's an easy pass on.

As we all know, that pretty much covers our entire midfield and most of our wingers, save maybe Vernam.

I had a haircut this morning and my Hearts supporting barber reckons that Jamie Walker was one of the best wingers in Scotland when he first got into their team. Unfortunately Craig Levein converted him into a "floating" midfielder where wasn't as effective.
As we currently have no fit wingers perhaps if he stayed out wide he might provide Cook with some better service?

 

Adams seems to prefer Daly out wider for some reason. Bit disappointed with Daly so far, perhaps he would be better more central and move Walker out wider

 

I think Daly is getting dropped to accommodate Delfi

 

Can't see Delfouneso getting in with Pereira in such hot form.

 

I wonder whether we could tempt Jamie to sign permanently in the summer. I'm sure he won't be short of offers though.

The type of quality player we need for our rebuild in the summer.

 

Depends on what our strategy for next season is. If its sustainability at all costs and feck everything else then I'd say no, players like Walker will command a better salary than Bradford currently offer to their players. If the mantra is we are actually serious about a promotion push and not just talk hot air like this season we might have a slim chance.

He’s exactly the level of quality we should be striving to bring in, not only that but his attitude is bang on the money. Never stops running and closing down, hopefully the powers that be use him as a yard stick for future signings.

 

Tell Rupp that, the budget currently does not allow us to sign players like Walker.

 

And as always , the budget will depend on ticket sales
I know sir Adams is not popular. Fans talk of not renewing or boycotts, will do only one thing to the budget.
We need a serious up turn in form to re kindle the spark or that damn elusive sugar daddy with long arms and short pockets.
