Look, we’re all tired of being served up garbage on the pitch and going nowhere. It’s a long shot, but lets hope the two recent recruits at least have some kind of positive impact. Best of luck to them both.

are delighted to announce the signing of highly-rated winger Jamie Walker - who joins on loan from Heart of Midlothian until the end of the season!
Becoming the Bantams’ new No.10, Walker arrives at the Utilita Energy Stadium with a wealth of experience north of the border, making over 200 appearances for Hearts over two spells.
The 28-year-old can play on either side of a forward line, as well as in an attacking midfield position, and has represented the Scotland national team at every youth level.
Walker has also gained experience south of the border in Sky Bet League One, with Wigan Athletic and on loan at Peterborough United.
He said: “I am delighted to be here. I have played against the manager's teams in Scotland and he really pushed to get the deal done.
“I have scored a lot of goals back at home and that is what my game is all about. Getting shots away and trying to score is what I always want to do.
“I am coming from a club with a big fanbase and huge expectations, so pressure is something I am familiar with, and hopefully something I can use as motivation to do well.
“Knowing the gaffer wanted me is something I will thrive off, and I will always give my best to help bring the supporters some memories, so I just cannot wait to get going.”
Bantams boss Derek Adams said: “We are really pleased to be bringing someone of Jamie’s calibre in, who has played for Hearts in the Scottish Premiership this season.
“He scores goals and creates chances, and is the kind of forward-thinking player we are looking to have in the team, so having him signed is a good piece of business.
“Jamie can play anywhere along the frontline and as a No.10. He has featured in a lot of high-profile games in Scotland and scored the winner in Hearts’ final game before Christmas against Dundee.
“He carries the type of attributes we are looking to bring in this month, and I am sure you will join me in welcoming him to Bradford City.”
Walker’s signing is subject to the relevant EFL, FA and international clearances. He will wear the No.10 shirt for City and be sponsored by Jackson Swiss Partners.

Just as much as footie ability, we need two or three more of them.
It's significant that unless we have Canavan, Songo'O and Sutton all on the pitch and starting, we tend to underperform.
Those three all played in the Swindon, Forest Green and Exeter (home in the FA Cup) consecutive games and no-one can complain about the performance as all these should have been wins. Even two of them on the pitch has given us the only time we've scored four goals and a very good draw at Port Vale. Tranmere is the only game we've lost and played poorly where all three have played.
Contrast that with the dire performances at Crawley and Carlisle, we had just one of those playing there (I don't include Barrow, which was largely poor - because of the numbers recovering Covid)
But we know this. It's quite simple. If for the past five years, we'd had characters similar to Darby, Davis, McCardle, Doyle Jones and Garry Thompson (remember some of his performances as the end of the glory season? we'd probably be in The Championship.
Like Parky, Adams gets that and I won't be surprise to see a few more 'personalities' joining.
It is that simple, find them and making sure there is a harmonious mix with the current players, is of course another matter!!Brackenrigg, Ollylondonbantam, FrenchBantam and 1 other person like this. -

Very impressed with Walker today.
It was great to see a player with good movement and the ability to find space.
He also had good ball retention and never wasted a ball.
Good start and hopefully will get even better as he gets more game time and fitterKevin1954, weewhiskydram, vladimir and 1 other person like this. -

Tbf, it’s just like monopoly money though in that league, no basis in the reality the rest of us live in. Plus, if it’s anything like playing that game with my lot, a staggering amount will no doubt end up going under the table.Botswana Bantam, vladimir and Fordy117 like this. -
I had a haircut this morning and my Hearts supporting barber reckons that Jamie Walker was one of the best wingers in Scotland when he first got into their team. Unfortunately Craig Levein converted him into a "floating" midfielder where wasn't as effective.
As we currently have no fit wingers perhaps if he stayed out wide he might provide Cook with some better service?Bronco, Inspector and Idlebantam like this. -
