it might take longer because they need a longer physio table delivered so he can have his picture taken on it wearing a Blackpool strip.

 

What a waste of a signing. No doubt he’ll do great for them. Better moving him on as he’s failed to deliver consistently when he’s played.

 

All this talk of “need him off the wagebill”. Why - are we broke? Some on here were shouting me down a while back when I said we don’t have a pot to piss in. “We’ve got a 2 million budget”, “we’ve got one of the highest budgets in the league”. And that was before the McBurnie payout.

Let’s hope we get some money from this sale, and not just a player off the wagebill.

 

Ah, I can see now why there might be some legs in this rumour. I think the ginger rule is similar to the home grown player rule in that every club must have one. With Doyle gone, we are currently in breach of this ruling so need to bring in a replacement ginger ASAP.

Grayson signs players based on reputation and experience levels.

He signed a Rangers forward for that reason, and Scannell joins for that reason.

He has no interest in League Two Devitt or non league Pritchard.

This strategy will either see them assemble a Championship quality team, or a team of disappointments on Championship wages.

I don't care which way it goes frankly, Scannell was always ridiculously expensive and even he is the best player of all time going forward, we have made the right decision for us.

Only once did he have me out of my seat and that was the other week when he scored.

Bowyer has taken a lot of stick recently (some of it justified), but what he has done is shift possibly 3 of the highest thief’s, I mean wage earners at the club. Scannell, Doyle and Wright. Hopefully there’s still time to shift Deadpan before the deadline. I believe he put them in the shop window (with the exception of Wright) just to get rid, and may have done the same with the surprise inclusion of Akpan last week. Here’s hoping.

 

In addition, those 6 goals in his first season, were scored at a higher level in L1! I think this might prove to be a good signing

So a few things from this for me.
Either money saved for us.
Bowyer realising Scannell cannot play in his preferred 4-3-3 and wants players who can.
Or just he's looked tosh and Bowyer is a strong gaffer who acts swiftly.

 

Yeah, that decent Grayson can't wait to get rid just like he did with Devitt.

Of course we wait and see but reading Blackpool fans comments they ain't sad to see the lad go. I'd rather see us use a loan on an unknown championship or Premier league youngster.
