Do you seriously believe Payne has been worse than Wright or are you on a wind up?

Has only been here a short while but is fit enough to put in those sort of performances. A great signing for us and exactly the ones we should have been signing in the summer. Has something you can’t buy, an experienced footballing brain.

O'Connors' fault, Wright's fault, not really relevant, fact is NO outfield player is either good enough, motivated enough or understands their role, that's why L2 is calling.

Wright should go to the ball once he’s crossed the half way line and either foul him or win it back or force him wide.

What planet is he on letting him bare down on our back 4?

They need protecting and that’s the midfields job. The less times they are near our box the more clean sheets we will keep. At the minute it is too easy to be onto our back 4

Now we are not at Man City’s level (if only) but they are masters at it. Everyone says peps teams can’t defend but there is no side better in England at protecting their back 4. They foul anyone who gets past one man. They all press together and give away very little. Elite players of course but the principals we can adopt

Wright could have stopped the move as it began, but he's happy to jog along like the rest of the squad.

No desire at all in any of these players, happy to turn up and grab their wages - either need a kick up the arse or just get rid, all eyes on hopkin on how he deals with these

How is it O'Connor's fault? Devine is nowhere to be seen and Wright isn't interested which means he has to try and mark the man on the outside, the man on the inside and the man with the ball.

He was left 3v1 and you're blaming O'Connor? Come on.

Bradford City have completed the signing of Scottish international Paul Caddis.

Caddis, who can operate at right-back and in midfield, has agreed a deal which will keep him at the Northern Commercials Stadium until at least the end of the season.

The 30-year-old has made more than 300 career appearances, enjoying spells with Celtic, Swindon, Birmingham, Bury and Blackburn over an 11-year professional career.

Irvine-born Caddis said: “I am delighted to be joining the club, it is great to finally have the deal over the line.

“I have been training with the team for the last few weeks, which has been well documented, and am now looking forward to getting stuck in and helping City move away from the relegation zone.

“On paper we have a fantastic squad, packed full of talent and quality. But you don’t get results on paper and there is a great deal of hard work ahead.

“I will bring a fair bit of experience to the team and will do all I can to help us get the results we need.

“I have won League Two before and have earned promotion from League One, so I know what it is all about.

“I have played my part in teams who have survived the threat of relegation and kicked on, which is what I want to achieve here - at the very least.”

City head coach David Hopkin, completing his second new signing since arriving at the club in September, said: “Paul is a fantastic addition for us and we are really pleased to have got him over the line.

“He has been training with us for a couple of weeks and has looked really sharp. He is fit and raring to go.

“Paul comes with a wealth of experience and I am looking forward to seeing what he will add to the team in the weeks and months ahead.”

Caddis’ signing is subject to the club receiving the relevant clearances.

Fantastic signing. Captain yesterday. Just give him at least an 18 month deal when his short contract runs out.

Another small step in the right direction imo, between Rhodes coming in, clearing out some backroom staff and getting in some experience we are starting to see a glimmer of hope.

If Doyle was played where he has all his career the penalty box off a proper centre forward he would score goals which he has done most of his career

Was at his first appearance at Peterborough and in the first ten minutes he'd put in a cross, had a shot and a couple of tackles and he just looked the part.

It's noticeable that teams are not getting a free ride down our right side now. I think back to watching Mellor, Riley and at times McGowan and Caddis is different gravy. As Idle alluded to, his positional sense is very good. He covers for others and links well with our technical players.

    Poor.

I think to be fair to him some lazy Bradford City fans are putting the blame on him. Not sure if it's because he's from a famous family or what.

When you brake it down though he's far from the problem. He was captain and now isn't.

He's played ok in some games but got injured.

Payne, O'Connor, Doyle have been worse mate. All of them a massive let down.

Yeah, I was there too. He had an excellent debut and has carried on well from then. Really good signing.
If we can get a couple more defenders of Caddis' standard in January we'll be sorted at the back.

Fordy made some insightful posts not so long back that I actually found myself liking. He's well and truly back in obsessive, tedious mode again now though.

take 'wright' out of your last two sentences and you could put anyone's name in there.
