How can you say that? You don’t know which players will leave or stay or who will come in. Sure there’s a risk the after effects of the Rahic regime continue, but to claim it’s unlikey to be a good season is bollocks. Decent budget plus whatever BowyerS gets from selling players is the story, give him a chance and JGBTLFFS before writing off next season.

I'm reserving judgement until we see the precise extent of Bowyer's summer recruitment efforts and all of which most definitely need to be onboard ready for the first game of pre-season. In such respect meaning the right level and quality of players are actually signed to BCAFC contracts. Also non of the usual pre-season trialist nonsense please. Similar to how Parky worked, the loan market needs to be used with extreme caution and only for perhaps the odd deadline addition to cover/ boost any unfortunate injury situation or likely looking vulnerable position.

Unfortunately the quality of our existing squad is so shockingly inadequate that we need a complete root and branch job again. Bowyer will be very fortunate indeed to instantly acquire the right player in every position and hence why in my opinion our next renaissance is more than likely going be an awful long and painful process. But to give ourselves the best possible chance of an immediate bounce back then as an absolute must Bowyer needs to bring in: 1) a proper keeper, 2) a couple of imposing and mobile centre backs. 3) a true midfield general and leader. 4) a brute recognised goal scoring centre forward. 5) proper pace in the middle, alongside the c/fwd & and down both flanks.

It's certainly a daunting and unpleasant prospect to realise that only one more car crash of a season will be enough see us out of league football, So we need setting up to give ourselves the best possible opportunity to ensure we dominate all of our opponents and thus enable us to rebound from L2 with some real style and swagger.

Take a look at that L2 table next season and what we are set to face. Without being arrogant and knowing full well our capabilities to exceed new levels of footballing embarrassment, there's not a single other Club anywhere near our supposed stature. Team's should be in awe of playing BCAFC and we need to ensure that perception works for us not against us!

Yes we need to start readopting the mantra "Bradfords Bouncing Back" and just for once show that we bloody well mean it!

Rhodes and Lawn were "wrestling" with the club for a good number of years. They were always ready to accept offers yet always reminded us that there was no one willing to pay the sort of money they wanted to clear off for a club with zero assets worth anything. It was going nowhere. Then they got lucky and at long long last appointed a proper football manager Mr Philip Parkinson who built a proper football team for the club. Luck of lucks (for them) he orchestrated one of the greatest achievements by a fourth tier club in the games history. He lead the club to the League Cup Final in 2013 and so they became known as "the History Makers". Rhodes & Lawn could not believe their luck ! Finding that the club they couldn't flog for toffee suddenly had some real "added value" and with progressivism pervading on the pitch and concourses could now look to recoup some of their "long lost investment".Along came Messrs Rupp and Rahic one a deluded fantasist the other a sucker for his "deluded freunde" with some spare Euros in his pocket and sold on the idea of a football club with a captive fan base; a previous sortee in the Premier League and upwardly mobile. Rhodes and Lawn could hardly believe this ? After all those years of slinging their money into a bottomless pit and going nowhere here's our chance to ship out and move on. So they chucked the baton to Rupp and Rahic who turned into Rack and Ruin. So it was the "previous owners" let us all down.

Have you looked at how last year's relegated 4 are doing? 3 of the 4 are still trying to get promoted and the 4th is in mid-table. Northampton are lowest, at 14th. Oldham have won the last 3 games 2-0 since Scholes resigned and might squeak into the play-offs. MK Dons and Bury might manage auto promotion. Bury only finished on 36 points which is what we are on now. There is every chance we can do well next season.

The previous owners didn't let us down as such, it was always in their remit that they could not take us any further due to financial restraints and in truth it was going to take further financial investment to take us forward. We had reached a peak in terms of how far we could go on a restricted budget, they were looking for a buyer and had been for some time. They hit the motherload when Rahic turned up Rupps chequebook. It was the right call at the time, they would have been mad not to sell to two fruitloops willing to stump that amount of cash.
Problem is the new investment came at a price, that price was Rahic and his dream. For this club to progress it did need more investment in the infrastructure of the club and a bigger budget for the playing squad. Shame the guy spending it knew f*ck all about f*ck all.

I like Bowyer and think if he’s given full control of the squad then we will have a good chance of bouncing back next season. This season has reminded me that it’s nice to watch games that we compete in and actually see us win/score a few. So if that’s in L2 then so be it, at least it should be more entertaining than the last 18 months.

Obviously this is caveated with the fact I thought we would bounce back when we got relegated to L2 last time and I also thought Hopkin would keep us up after the good run in December. So hopefully I’m actually correct this time!

I'm just gazing down the runners and riders in League Two next season. God it's a bloody lousy prospect ....in all honesty I've kind of got out the habit of even sitting through League Two highlights on TV.? ! It just isn't interesting and the largely vacant terraces seem to confirm I'm not alone with that opinion. Top attendance yesterday 7129 at Notts County and they're likely to go out the League !. Replaced by say Solihull Moors on average gates a tenth of that ! We're rightly embarrassed dropping back to that level. Saving grace is Rhodes & Rupp will be slumming it in a portakabin at Solihull for pre-. & post match Directors hospitality with use of the outside bogs !

A positive? I refer the honourable gentleman that we are in fact on the berge of being relegated to the khazi league. Now correct me if i’m wrong, but i’m really really struggling to see a positive of spending at least one season in league two, judging by our last relegation it could be a lot longer. But hey, by all means clap yersen daft.

Confident we won’t get double relegated but depends on what we can shift in the summer to as what next season holds

And just who are these better players that are here, the players who have shown anything like have been our loan signings, how Bowyer can start to get players to compliment the likes of
    Richard O'Donnell
    Joe Riley
    Adam Chicksen
    Anthony O'Connor
    Sean Scannell
    Jake Reeves
    Eoin Doyle
    Tyrell Robinson
    Kelvin Mellor
    Billy Clarke
    Omari Patrick
    Hope Akpan
    Nathaniel Knight-Percival
    Connor Wood
    Daniel Devine
    Calum Woods
    Jordan Gibson
    Luca Colville

    Paul Caddis
    Josh Wright
    Shay McCartan
    Alex Jones
I obviously want Bowyer to get a squad together for next season and a play off place minimum, but looking at this lot bar one or two he's got one hard task on his hands.

Wasn't having a go at you for having an opinion mate, you are entitled to that as we all are. I was more pulling you up for using the term "happy clappers" as a derogatory way of putting down supporters who don't happen hold the same views as your goodself what.

We stayed till the end yesterday mate, hell we even gave a lukewarm reception to the players after the final whistle, but i draw the line at getting excited about next season. Talk of people looking forward to next season just riles me up, I'm still getting to grips with being a sniff away from the championship two years ago.

Just a reminder that we are by far the worst team in L1, with a dreadful defence and lousy attack, no hope of a complete rebuild, and a target the size of Valley Parade on our chests every home game.

Underestimate League Two at the peril of your own sanity.

I don't care how 'big' the team's are, or what their name value is, you can bet any of the top half teams would have finished above us this season had we shared a division.

Anyone thinking 'it's only Exeter' need their heads testing.

We do not win games, under any manager.

We are saddled with sacks of crap.

We are not going up, but it's a pleasant fantasy I guess.

I think your third paragraph is very selective and all you do is focus on the negatives rather than giving a balanced view. How about these facts:
    • 2007 Brentford relegated from League One - 2008 Brentford promoted from League Two and now in the Championship.
    • 2008 Gillingham relegated from League One - 2009 Gillingham promoted from League two.
    • 2008 Bournemouth relegated from League One - 2010 Bournemouth promoted and now in the Premiership.
    • 2010 Wycombe relegated from League One - 2011 Wycombe promoted from League Two.
    • 2011 Swindon relegated from League One - 2012 Swindon promoted from League Two.
    • 2012 Rochdale relegated from League One- 2014 Rochdale promoted from League Two.
    • 2013 City promoted from League Two - Also Gillingham who had been relegated in 2010 return to League One.
    • 2013 Scunthorpe relegated from League One - 2014 Scunthorpe promoted from League Two.
    • 2014 Shrewsbury relegated from League One - 2015 Shrewsbury promoted from League Two.
    • 2016 Doncaster relegated from League One - 2017 Doncaster promoted from League Two.
    • 2016 Blackpool relegated from League One - 2017 Blackpool promoted from League Two.
    • 2017 Coventry relegated from League One - 2018 Coventry promoted from League Two.
Add into that mix Plymouth and Portsmouth. So lots of clubs have returned and quite a few after one season. I am sure @River_City_Bantam@River_City_Bantam will correct me if I have made any errors or significant omissions.

A lot has yet to happen before we a kick a ball next season and l anticipate there will be a substantial change over of players. Whether we can get the right mix of players remains to be seen.

Looking at clubs which made a recent return, then both Blackpool and Coventry have had huge off field problems yet despite that, they made the return.

All those clubs, fans went to ‘away’ days at a number of ‘small’ clubs. Portsmouth fans have had to endure a lot and they do not get comparable ‘cheap’ season ticket deals, yet they have continued to support their team in numbers.

So lets have some balance. Yes things have been grim, but to paint such a dismal picture, may not be bourne out in the future.

    Perspective is called for!
