If mid-table consolidation was what you believe Rupp and Rhodes would be happy with Bowyer is the ideal manager having been here just over a season to deliver that, he would know what players he could keep out of the present squad and also have knowledge of whats required to get us mid-table.
Not sure why you don't think next season player budget will not be comparable with other clubs, you nor I know that, who's to say Rupp doesn't throw the boat out and back Bowyer to go for it, maybe then he could sell the club the asset being Championship football.

You've totally lost me with your last comment, one minute your saying we will/might be aiming for a mid-table finish how do you know it will be garbage football, you don't so why make the comment to try and make a point, I could say it will be free flowing football but I'd be guessing.

Absolutely I would, I cannot watch another season of this garbage. It's the same situation that Sam Allardyce finds himself in continuously - brought in to keep sides up then disposed of because fans won't tolerate his football long term. Bowyer isn't the manager for us long term. If he takes us up then he's done his job but he won't take us further.

 

Yet 8 of the players we have in our first team squad and still his choice were in the relegated team he managed, Most of which he signed or re-signed,

I think you've misunderstood slightly. My point is, if we're in L1 next season, it's highly unlikely Bowyer will be tasked to achieve promotion. So, without the 'promotion at whatever cost' attitude which many, including yourself, have this season will you be happy watching his boring football to achieve nothing?

Because in my mind, when there isn't the aim of promotion, the only way to keep fans on board is to keep them entertained. Bowyer is incapable of that.

No I don't accept that comment that's what your hoping if we go up we should sack Bowyer, and if we achieve mid-table as you say Rupp would be happy with Bowyer is the ideal man for the reasons I've given you.
Again I disagree with you last comment, if you get your wish and Bowyer got the push a new manager comes in who knows promotion is not the goal so in building a squad for a promotion push the following season as none of the present squad are good enough so there could be a situation where we actually struggle to get a style of play that will make us candidates for promotion the following season, a new manager does not guarantee entertaining football especially as I say the following season he would be expected to deliver a promotion to the Championship.

 

I'm not sure what makes you think Rupp will stump up a competitive budget for promotion. He wants to see us in back in L1 where he bought us, so why do you think he'll fund a promotion push to the championship?

Again, I think you're missing the point. Bowyer may well be a good candidate to achieve mid table. But when mid table is all you're aiming for, you expect a good level of entertainment to compensate for a lower league position. Bowyer certainly is not a candidate for that.
