Club Crest (New Crest Revealed 5 October 2022) With Poll

Another similar design from the same guy. Really like this one, looks way better than the cumbersome crest and the awful looking white bantam.

 

The best one is still the one that the poster did on here in the circular badge, similar to Bristol City's.

 

Cracking that. Won’t even need to have a secondary with that one. Looks great on t shirts, hats, badges and so on. You don’t think the club will take note though. They’ve got to justify the thousands spent on designers.

Chose C. I note that no comments were possible this time round.

The other two were better than the original abomination, but not better than the current one. The stars look an afterthought, the font is ungraceful, the foot stamping on a date or tomato/bowling ball is awkward, and the backwards turn of the head on B is also awkward. Why would the bird be looking back?

Agree with NM -- Dinz's effort from a few pages back remains the best overall redesign. Frank C's bird from the previous page is also nice -- simpler lines, looks forwards, does not appear to be carrying a shield under its arm, and has a foot resting on what is clearly a football. Still don't like the font, though. Sorry...

The biggest issue is not the crest, most would agree it needs a refresh. The issue is digital boards around the parameter of the pitch. Thise issue has been going on for too long and is costing the club money on a weekly basis. The issue probably lies with Sparks who is too inexperienced to make the call. Either way without this, forget new crest we are left behind. Get your priorities right City.

I mean, you can have all the fancy advertising boards you want but if we're in the conference North with vastly reduced crowds there's not that many going to want to advertise unless it's at a heavily reduced rate.

 

The new proposed there are an improvement on the old one, especially the left one. I prefer the name of the club rather than initials, the yellow lion on the original looks daft. Just all round tidier. Just a shame our designs are so poor.

 

Infact, you give me that as the new home shirt with that badge and i'm happy as. And it didn't need 18 months of apparent work and so called kit experts, just a guy on his computer by the looks of it.

this aged like milk misread what you meant apologies, thought you were saying club were going ahead with a new badge either way

 

disappointed really. People are far too sentimental imo. Do wonder if they will go for a change again later down the line. AVFCs badge designs do look really good.

 

Ultimately this has been a poorly handled waste of money.

Once the club committed to changing the crest, they should've stuck to it and not offered the current badge as an option. But then again, they paid the price for some truly awful designs and were put to shame by amateurs on twitter.

 

Just like the Leeds badge years ago it was ugly and never going to happen. Time to move on and not focus on tacky badges and court cases, hopefully moaning about crap football is all we have to moan about from now on.

 

Bottled it. Lets have a rebrand....... oh but we want 5000 opinions, because designing by committee always works. Oh and once we pick a Frankenstein logo from all the things the thousands said were essentials for the badge, you can still pick the old one anyway.
