I can see why. The forwards who came on with 20 to go will probably tear any defence a big one?

Harratt may be the key.. His pace is awesome compared to Mr Cook.

 

None of us should be getting carried away. It’s just pre season and a few of their big hitters didn’t make it on. It’s always better to win rather than lose these games though and there’s genuine reason for optimism in the season ahead. We need to shift 4 or 5 out and I’d still like to see another quality player or two join, but the positives you’d want to see from pre season are coming together nicely.

 

He was awful defensively at the get go then awful going forward when it was put on a plate twice?

Really enjoyed it, entertaining game.

Looked super organised, everybody knew their role, we pressed high and pressed well - think we had a threat coming from a lot of different positions and situations.

Oliver won every header when he came on, Cook put in a good and effective shift before that; Angol didn't quite perform to expectations, but it didn't matter. Osadebe put in a lot of tackles and took his goal well. Walker was a real threat, though I thought he was a pillock for getting booked in a friendly.

Defensively good; Critchlow really impressed me, his passing was good (which I expected) but his defensive work was way better than the impression that I'd got. Totally prepared to eat crow on him, hope he gets the game time he needs.

Thought the keeper would have been sent off in a league game, and to be honest, didn't look as good as he has done, but kept a clean sheet.

Liked it.

Osadebe was very mobile. Looked promising

So in a nutshell….he was crap?

 

Impressed with that. Movement off the ball, between the lines and we mixed it up well in attacking positions, wide and through the centre.

Walker links it up so well and Osadebe bag of tricks. Get the feeling he is a player whom thrives with confidence. First half, did look unsure when wide right. Link up play with Halliday, worked tonight.

Smallwood and East controlled the centre. Don't know who was no12 but impressed when he came on along Oliver, whom was strong in the air and loved his little show boating.

That was my reading. Raw, little uncertain but got talent. The goal was lovely, as he pointed where he wanted and finished well
