    Now their sugar daddy has had his UK assets frozen …he bankrolls their daily spending , it appears questions are being asked how they are able to function.

    For example I just read on Sky news they can now only spend a MAXIMUM of £20,000 on any away fixture, which would cover say an 20 man squad, back room staff, flights, road transport, food and hotel accommodation etcetera etc .

    That’s one tall order!

    I wonder if they will try and raise bank loans to cover ?

    Not Russian banks this time!

    They're exceptionally lucky that they've not effectively been shut down immediately which is what would have happened to a "normal" company in this situation. Even so, not a good time to be a Chelsea fan and they'll be very lucky to come out of this without being substantially weakened.

    Chelsea won't be in trouble, they will just end up being picked up for way below their actual market value now. There will be a fair few billionaires in the USA or elsewhere looking at how they can take over such a club for peanuts.

    Do teams pay their own travel or is it like FA Cup where they are covered from ticket sales?

    They cannot sell home tickets either, nor club merchandise. They aren’t 100% seasons at Chelsea . They will suffer big style.

    they will suffer but I’d think that the ticket sales is small fry compared to cash from TV deals. So will be interesting if they will allow those payments. If not then they will be in administration before the months end

    I believe there is a comment re travel, however it’s £20,000 per game maximum from whatever source from memory .

    There is a great pic on Twitter, “suggesting” the squad have turned up in a £1 seat mega bus for tonight’s game near me!

    Three have pulled the plug on their sponsorship deal and told them they can’t use the Three logo for tonight’s game I read.

    This makes my pizz boil because they knew who bankrolled Chelsea before signing up anf knew the money was being sourced from Russia, which only means one thing!
    Everyone on planet earth knew he’s a stooge for Putin , why should it come as a shock now?

    At the moment, at some stage the club will be sold and at that stage there will be many trying to pick it up cheap.

    Only if the Gov permit a normal operating license. If not is worth two pence! Remember the club is £1.5 BILLION in debt, some to the owner and banks.

    Just seen that Three have requested a temporary stop on the deal. If I was Chelsea I would say to them either they cancel the deal or carry it on

    I read that as it can be sold but the proceeds of the sale cannot leave the UK.

    Perhaps I misread?

    they should either terminate fully or carry on. Requesting a pause whilst press coverage is bad is poor. Either terminate or see it through
