Have to disagree here. It's pre season and Collins will have wanted his main striker to get game time, he has to make a plan for the chance that he stays and that involves giving him minutes on the pitch. Managers/coaches can't go around been constantly worried about a player getting an injury or none of the first 11 would feature at all and it would be pointless.

As for Davies I agree he should have gone off, however Parkinson probably expected one of his senior players to be a bit less idiotic in a dead rubber.

 

Don't be stupid man. Why would we not play him ? He wasn't injured or carrying a knock going into the match so the risk was no higher than any player. We've not accepted a bid for him, we've not had anything other than a club trying to get him for way under his worth and as far as we know he hasn't actually said he wants to go.

We were preparing for him on the basis that he will still be here. You can't wrap him in cotton wool until the deadline closes "just in case". Your just looking for another reason to slag the club off, and making yourself look stupid doing it.

 

Has to be said, when it came to "doing idiotic" Andrew Davies was an absolute master at it.

Sunderland have just signed a striker on loan from Watford too.

Looks like he's ours - great news.

If he stays then all good , he'll be great for the likes of Payne, Scannell and Seedorf to work off. This season he'll get the service and he'll have someone to lay off to.

That chap is more of a winger/striker than an actual striker. It looks like they're going for a front 3 with two pacey guys and that new chap will be one of the wider two. Don't think they've really got a well recognised centre striker though.

The player Sunderland got on loan from Watford is not a centre forward in the strictest sense aka CW or JH. He’s a player who complements such a player. Means nothing

 

Plus not scored a senior goal yet. The Sunderland fans were ecstatic about the signing, all I can say is they must be easily pleased.

Their Chairman says they have offered 6 figure sums on two players . They have no further plans to increase those bids. Parkyindicated CW was his top target????

Bolton dont have any money. its all kidology to appease the fans. They are buying 30+ age players on free transfers.

 

Great if he does sign. Can still go at the end of this season and we get a fee. Although he will miss out on a signing on fee somewhere else
