Thought he was a winner when he was here, thought he was one when he left a post on social media doesn't change anything.

Look forward to Akpan leaving something on him though, just hope he doesn't injure him though I'd rather him on the pitch he made a few wingers look like George best last season.

No doubt he'll be rolling about regardless, tapping out like he's in a submission hold.

I don't agree. he's saying well done on a big move for the lad. i don't take issue with it.

present players wished him well on twitter - i don't see anyone taking shots at them for 'gloating'.

 

I hope when we play Oxford someone tackles him and puts him in row z.I didn't like him from day1with his petulant antics , we are well rid of him and his mate.

 

It was the "Thank me later" bit Ricc. Smacks of TMc getting in CW's ear, when both should have been hauling BCAFC out of our January misery.

Ricc it is not the congratulations that is the problem, it is the implication that he had something to do with it that is sneaky. What does he want Charlie to thank him for? Disrupting his play, so it would influence how we finished, taking their ball home, and getting the manager sacked?

I think Charlie has wanted away since it all went pear shaped last season. Charlie is a nice human being and my guess is he just couldn’t handle that level of disruption, whereas his mate was in his element.

Obviously, you have a different view, we will have to agree to disagree on this.

Thats a lot of assumptions to make. none of us know Tony or Charlie personally, and have no idea what sort of a human being he is.

I'm sure he's a great lad, but I can't buy that Tony McMahon single handedly ruined everyones morale and caused them all to not bother turning up for half a season - Tony may or may not be a sneaky, underhand so and so, but he's Charlie's mate, like it or not, and he's saying well done on a good move to a bigger club.

The last time we all truly saw this happen was when Gareth Evans signed for Rotherham, and Michael Flynn crippled him in the opening 5 mins at VP.

 

It’s also very unlikely that he would have been made captain if he was that much of a bad influence.

I do think he’s a bit of a tool though.

There is an uneasy tone about the post. That is the type of message you would send personally on WhatsApp etc, not publicly on twitter.

Publicly you would say something along the lines of "Best of luck with the move mate, hope it works out for you well". Not laughing emoji's and comments which can be perceived as sly digs.

 

more likely it will be on of ours on the end of a bad tackle from tmac.. Remember when he played for Sheffield. United.. got pissed off being skinned by Kyle Reid so nearly crippled Reid who was never the same player.

We can have a decent squad of players, but that doesn't mean anything if the man in charge of them isn't up to scratch

 

I'd think Tony McMahon is a far different kettle of fish to Gareth Evans, and I'm not sure why any one of the present squad would want to injure him.
He's gone he was one of our more consistant players during his time at the club IMO but we realy shouldnt be hoping anyone goes out to injure someone.
