£700k less than this year so £2m is the story. Sounds bad but I can think of two players who contribute feck all hoovering up the majority of that £700k so all hope isn’t lost.

Rupp is underwriting the club, whether that’s putting money in or promising to pay off any overdraft if it’s called in is anyone’s guess. After the shocking transfer window and sacking Bowyer straight after we’re not going up so the club continues to be a millstone for Rupp.

The suggesion would be Akpan & Doyle - Mike
Vaughan would be taken back on next years figures being in contract.

Akpan is up there with the biggest waste of monies in this club's recent history.

We shall see what the summer brings, my concern is Rupp who does have the finance to help the club sells under pressure to a local consortium and we would probably be worse off. Remember the period under Rhodes /Lawn between 2009/12 when the budget was really slashed and we nearly ended up non league. I agree with your earlier post that there is a lot of slack in this seasons budget with Akpan and a few others who would not be missed.

I believe £10m was a figure quoted by @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler as the amount needed, in his opinion, to buy the club and take it forward.
I didn't realise that Rupp had had an offer in the summer. I'm interested what the "fair price" might be and did the buyer have the additional funds to take the club forward

Sorry Fordy but that is EXACTLY what @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler said. The amount required in his opinion.
I agree Rupp needs to cut his losses and sell, but it needs to a buyer with the funds and/or determination to take us forwards

Can’t argue with that but any risk analysis on further investment would likely show it to be unwise given the reasons I posted.

Well if true it just highlights how weak the club is at management/board/ investors level.

Rhodes sold to Rupp and if if takes 10m to move the club forward that's the message that should be drilled into Rupp and if he doesn't want to do that then the message should be to sell up!

However, Rhodes is trying to tick boxes and run it like he owns it and in truth it's damaging the club as we're going backwards.

there will be some more sell on fee from Sheffield Utd staying up. I would hazard a guess that that will get paid in the next seasons figures so should help us out a bit

Not according to my contact at the Blades. They are due to pay Swansea the additional fee for them not being relegated immediately after the season ends in their current financial year and we are due our share at the same time, ie this financial year and therefore in this seasn's SCMP

Richard Sutcliffe now writing for The Athletic (ex T&A, Yorskire Post and a close confidant of Rhodes) Reported Swansea get £2.87m if Sheff Utd stop up. Our share of that is £431250 as mentioned in WOAP article.

    Apologies Dennis.
I just thought it was worth pointing out what we are due. Will edit it accordingly

STOP IT STOP IT STOP IT!!!!!

Can we stop laying down and rolling over for McCall?

We were 3 points off a playoff spot at the start of yesterday and you are trying to tell me he is playing that way to have a look at players? REALLY? This season is still alive. Yes we may not be good enough to go up but the revenue and support generated by being in the playoff spots cannot be scoffed at. Absolutely no excuse, we were 7th when he took over, he needs to step up and sort this out. Nothing more nothing less than we would expect from any other manager handed a team in 7th place that had been in the playoff positions for the first half of the season.

And the line 'He might have been told to do that...' he might have been told to do that,,, let me say that again...he might have been told to do that. JEEZ...are we already traipsing out the interference argument to cover up for poor decision making, changing a winning team, and pointless substitutions.

We should not accept mediocrity because of the managers name.

COME ON...GIVE ME A FRIGGIN BREAK!

I think you do need a break; in a quiet darkened room, it will help bring your blood pressure down Norman, now off you go.

Yes he did. Recognised he did not have the skills this early in his managerial career.
