goodness me. I really dont know what to say

 

There is no excuse for our poor display today but I'll take a dire display rather than playing well and losing, 90 + minutes gone and were still in with a shout. as poor as we've been.

It's obviously disappointing, but I expected this. Being honest, we don't deserve to go to Wembley - the team that is, not the fans. On the face of it, Hughes fallen just short, but he's had the backing to achieve promotion and failed. His dull, safety first football is awful to watch and creates very little. The dependency on Cook has been huge and we'll struggle without him next season. Every time we've been on the verge of doing something meaningful, we've sh*t the bed. The 1st leg was a great example of where we've failed all season - go a goal up at home then take the foot off the gas and defend. It doesn't work. We missed our opportunity last week to turn the screw and create momentum and engagement with the crowd. If we'd shown ambition, we'd have won by 2 or 3, I'm sure of it. 1 was never going to be enough.
