I thought Lewis should have done better. but Halliday is struggling so had to scorn OG ... this won't go to penalties. we are very poor unless he clears our midfield and puts East on... we can't do any worse

 

We reap the rewards of a season of playing like this. Not out of this tie by any means just yet but I think ive seen the large lady warming up her voice on Sky at half time. What does Mark Hughes think about the position?

Sorry that isnt Brads fault. He was faced left slightly, you cant hook the ball away there on that angle.

Lewis should have done better really - didnt get enough on it

 

It was hardly a shambles (0-4 would have been a shambles), and we haven’t gone to defend a 1-0 as we’ve had a few chances of our own. However it was slow and a bit too relaxed and Carlisle have certainly got the bit between their teeth. We need to step it up a bit though.

 

Well, we all all know how it works so let's just hope that wasn't the good half of the match...

 

I also think with Platt we look steady away at the back....

I know Stubbs was urging them forward at one stage at the same time as Smallwood was urging them back

 

Someone needs to tell Gilliead he is allowed to actually run at them instead of trying to offload it straight away

 

Agree we've played this way all season, we have to improve second half and its 1 - 1 were not losing, come on guys we can still get through this tie.

The defending is atrocious. Halliday is a donkey, stubbs isnt much better and crichlow ffs is like a man without a brain

 

Well, sky have jinxed us- 17 times when carlise have led at the half

and 17 wins

always a first time but our midfield looks so slow and lop-sided,
smallwood is actually playing left midfield
