That was proper crap. I don't want the manager sacked but I do want us to attack teams. We have absolutely no one getting near the front two it's embarrassing...

 

No chance, we're too hard for these sides to beat.

The reality is, if we make the right moves tactically and in the transfer window, it's there to be taken.

It's ridiculous we're in touching distance of third, but we are - still, if we don't get a shift on there are going to be ten or more teams competing for the play off spots.

 

Truth is, and not meaning to be disrespectful, Carlisle were bottom three for a reason yet we were no better than them today, and that has pretty much been the same for most of our season. I'd expect a team looking for promotion to win that game today, no ifs or buts. Chances are we could just as easily finish mid table as finish 3rd, it really is an appalling division. Worryingly its hard to get the fans back onside the longer this perceived poor football goes on. There are mitigating circumstances, what with todays illness and various injuries, but fans are losing patience now. The football is terrible and goals and results are drying up. Couple that with the Doyle scenario and its a timebomb waiting to go off.

 

I've supported Bowyer throughout this poor period but again today he showed very little intention of going for the win, Carlisle are a poor team.

 

Thinking about it but my 2 lads don't seem as motivated for this one compared to Sunderland last year.... can't think why....

 

I wasn't aware it was compulsory to stand up and chant & sing, I do smile when someone starts the chant "stand up if you love City" I and many others stay seated, we obviously don't love City as much as the fans who stand up, do your own thing @bantamlad92 and don't worry what other fans do.

Disgusting from Rupp & Rhodes that we've not sacked GB yet. Why is he still our manager? One win in nine (all comps) from a relatively kind run of fixtures. We've lost ground / failed to maximise opportunities to push on.

I suspect this will be Bowyer's excuse. I think he has a very fixed way of playing, which requires a certain type of player, particularly a big target man, which he hasn't had since Donaldson's injury.
He'll say that we are doing well to stay in touch with the auto places with the injuries and illness we've had. We're conceding very few goals, and failing to take the chances that we're creating has cost us wins that we should have had.
I think he sees the ongoing 3-5-2 borefest as perfectly acceptable until he can get more forward power in in January. Whether that's Doyle back or others brought in. Never mind that our supporters are all eating their own arms off and losing the will to live. I don't think he gives two fecks about that, quite honestly.

 

Well a defender IS more likely to be shit at finishing, and Bowyer plays 5 of them...
