We will have to pay as no-one is going to come for the style of play,(non-existent)big stadium, ( empty) big crowds ( absent) that we supposedly try and use as a draw in previous transfer windows. At this point of any season you still tend to be fishing in the shit pool if you aren’t prepared to back it up with decent money.Hard to attract decent players to a potential relegation battle. Will all the talk be backed up with serious action or will we see the same old scenario of just missing out on the supposed targets and bringing in the usual raft of journeymen and youth.Hope it’s the former or it’s going to be a long and nervy few months.I too think we will be out of the bottom two (just) but it could be made so much easier with some serious investment in our scouting and a detailed transfer plan. Not the usual back of a fag packet approach we have used in the past.

Some don't like the way he left us and signed for Parky's Bolton.

I admire him for screwing over Rahic.

    Good lad.

With Staunton out we could ideally do with another CB but the whole spine looks weak. Instead of bringing in a replacement for RS i think we should switch to 4-4-2 and bin off BRE, but we then need a LW and RW to make that happen. Plus we need at least one more striker to go with Novak. We still have no combative MF - AOC wasn’t the answer yesterday.

GK - OD -not great but skipper so will have to do
RB - Hosannah - will do when fit
    LW - Wood
    CB - AOC
CB - PAC/French/BRE rotating dependent on form
    LW - Pritchard/Clarke/new recruit needed
Attacking CM - Watt / Cooke
Defensive CM - Sutton / new recruit needed
RW - new recruit needed. Morais?
    ST - Novak/Donakdson
    ST - Clarke/Samuels/Guthrie/New recruit needed

McCall doesn’t fill me with confidence as we seem to be in a tail spin now jumping from crisis week to week, he simply has to sign three/four GOOD players who are comfortable in L2.

A decent commanding centre half, a pacey midfielder, a brick sht house midfielder, and that elusive striker. If this is about building it needs to start now.

Time for action not empty promises.

Not in full agreement about Morais but it's a start I suppose
Problem with that is the lack of bodies and the quality of bodies in the box
Guthrie Donaldson and Jig Saw need at last 10 chances each to convert one

I know it’s not about individuals and harsh to single them out but we have possibly the worst winger in the league in dmh and worse leading/main goalscorer in Donaldson, and a generally just a poor defence. If we are carrying players we will nearly always lose games , no matter who he signs if we keep on chopping and changing and being forced to pick the deadwood we will end up on the losing side and most likely relegated or just finishing over the line.

I hope they are ready to dig deep into the coffers.

The other clubs at the bottom after Christmas have the option of changing their manager, Thanks to Sparks we have removed that option for survival if needed

I think the Rhodes master plan Operation FenceSit will be continued by Sparks which will see City comfortably in the play offs as one by one clubs take point deductions for admins

Wheater is exactly the sort of dominant centre half we need and he's currently rotting in Oldhams reserves. Although its not ideal, we also need some players with an affinity to the club, like Clarke has, Morais fits that bill and so would Andy Halliday who doesn't seem to be in the Hearts team at present. Talking of which, neither is Colin Doyle and he's a far better keeper than Blind man O'Donnell

You got the same restricted contact list Stuart has
Those players may have an affinity to the club but are not playing first team football for a reason
Fresh blood is what is needed Stuart said yesterday he has plenty of contacts time to make them work for him

    All in it together mate.

    McCall new contract.
    Sparks promoted.
Rhodes consultant fee?? - not sure about that one but wouldn't shock me.

When you have a owner that doesn't care you can quickly pull the wool over their eyes.

Doyle & hallidsy are at clubs far better than us. Actually for that matter so iare Hanson, Vaughan & Doyle. Morsis left Crawley to move north again as s promise to his family. They offered him a contract.

All three would walk into our team and significantly improve it. But then so would almost anyone.

Stefan can only invest what the wage cap will let him. That’s why this Cap is just not fair as why should clubs with bigger fan bases and expectations can’t try and succeed in a business like matter

Our only hope is a buyout by someone with passion and fire, a Mark Lawn (never thought I'd say that) and Dave Baldwin combo, who would come in, sack off our juvenile ceo and pay off Stuart (for his own sake) and thats hoping against hope. There's more chance of my recurring dream of a thresome with katya adler and nigella happening
