Haven't we hired somebody to reduce the length of time our players would be out?

So far, Scanell, Mellor and now Woods have had their return dates pushed back. I for one can't wait for this sorry season to be over.

Get rid of the sick notes and no shows, then start again with a clean slate.

 

If you sign injury prone players the odds are they will get injured and not recover well. We are signing them because nobody else wants them,we have no money and we're desperate.

 

Because even before butterfield signed he didnt play a minute. Even at 4-0 down during the southend shit show hopkin didnt feel the need to give him game time.
Hopkin will have known who was available very early on, it cant have taken much homework to see anderson wasnt what we needed, he was hardly getting a glowing endorsement from the club letting him go was he?
You stated he was signed has we had just lost jim obrien and karl henry, im fairly sure jermaine anderson himself would have argued he wouldn't have been an ideal replacement for them.
Hopkin has made a rock for his own back, he hasnt had ten games, no window and no cash to sort this out.
He has had 30 games including cups, has signed ooc players outside of the window, had four months to plan for a window, had the loans of our two best players extended, been given "more money" for players in the window and now is still being offered the opportunity to bring out of contract players post the window. If he cant juggle the squad then its his problem.

Answer this, you have been made redundant, times are hard and You have 20 quid for a weeks food.. You look in the cupboard and see four tins of tomatoes. Do you go shopping and buy more tins of tomatoes?

I think this sums up the whole feeling at Valley Parade, i'm almost at the stage where i couldn't care less what happens now as long as the season ends. All has in inevitable feel about it as does the atmosphere at games now.

That wasn't the arguement, nor yours. You argued he was needed, when in the opinion of most, he wasnt and so its been proved. We had players in the squad "just in case" The money could and should have gone somewhere of a higher priority..

 

With the amount of players we have that are injured we should hire a ward at the BRI out

Yes, I get that. I'm not sure a left back was what we needed anyway with having 2 already at the club.

Another waste of a wage/shirt is Anderson. Another player who has had injury problems and he still only sits on the bench. May aswell have someone like Patrick on the bench. Him and Devine are not going to play so there's little point, apart from satisfying FA rules, them being involved.

 

I think a lot of people play Fifa and football manager and think you sign players in one click

 

He can move into centre midfield to cover.

Not sure what experience has to do with cover.

We needed players that could play, we have players that can cover (if needed) and we have players that are never going to play. Bringing in 2 more cover players (Anderson and O'Connor) plus an injury prone Woods has done nothing to strengthen the squad.

 

But whi is he covering? No one really has a clue what his best position is, we needed a replacement for the experienced Jim O’Brien and Karl Henry, two hard tackling midfielders. As far as i can gather thats not Andersons game. Just taking players for the sake of it because they are cheap and available is ludicrous, there were vital positions that needed replacements, what we got was what was left in the bargain bin.

 

We already had cover at the club, Hopkin had more pressing positions to cover.

 

I've seen long term coma victims come round quicker than Jake Reeves. "Reevesed" will be in the next edition of the BMA medical journal stating researchers are no nearer to a cure.
