Burton Away 26th Jan

Doesn't matter. All that matters now are 3 points in a game.

Playing well but drawing is a waste of time and won't help confidence at this moment.

 

What makes me laugh most is that the ever-so-clueless @Fordy117 says we SHOULD be winning games at places like Burton, but in another breath admits the squad is poor and he doesn’t rate the manager....!!!!

We're second from bottom of league 1.

Burton are not a great team and when a club is fighting relegation then 3 points against them is a must as is on Tuesday night.

Our manager is ok but he took us backwards other recent weeks

 

No of course it won't, you're absolutely right. We'd have been much better off throwing the towel in when we went a goal down - would have done wonders for the players confidence would that.

 

Totally agree. I just wish ppl would hold their nerve, when you are in a relegation battle it is extremely important everyone keeps thinking we can get out of this. Autumn was an absolute disaster and nobody would bothered to give us a prayer. Yet here we are in January still in the mix. You just never really know what is needed, we must just take one game at a time and stop thinking if we lose or draw we are out of it.

 

Stop bottling it, and grow a pair! We want all 3 on Tuesday nobody is disagreeing. Bloody hell just straighten your spine, there will be no respite it WILL go to the wire.

 

As I said, clueless....!

We are poor. Our squad is a few good players light. As you point out, we’re 2nd bottom (for a reason). Yet you still expected us to go to a team who have only lost 5 times at home all season and win?

With more than a 3rd of the season to go, I wouldn’t say winning AT Burton is ‘a must’. Winning our home games, especially against teams in and around us maybe, but not AT teams like Burton

It’s your head that needs banging fella. Who made out that Burton are a top team? I merely pointed out that they’ve only lost 5 home games all season and even best Sunderland there. It’s not an easy ground to get a result at. You do know that (PO semi aside), we’ve never won there! Had Burton won yesterday, they could have gone 10th; somewhere we can only dream of getting to this season..!

Of course we need more than home wins, but picking up a point here and there will help
