    Having seen the rumored Riley wages, does anyone have ball park ideas of what our fringe players are on? How much would be saved by shipping them out? The top earner?

    No idea.

    But I'd wager that moving on Bruenker, Riley, Wright, Jones, Peters, Brown and letting Henry go, should free up enough to bring 2-3 quality players in as well as having some left over to bring our outgoings more into a reasonable line.

    Powell Hudson Peter's Hefele and Hanson will have been on a few hundred quid a week so maybe £1.5k- £1.8k saved. Henry £2.5k- 3k? Say Kai £1.5k? Wright £3k Riley £3k Jones £2.5k that could be anything from £10k to £15k saved then there is Jim O'Brien contract up for renewal too. Like you say on top of what Rupp is willing to add we should be able to get 3/4 decent signings in.

    I can not see many clubs matching what they are currently on so we will probably be either still paying them each month or giving them a pay out. That will reduce the amount we are saving, with the exception of Henry who was on a short contract.

    No or depends on whether the new club takes over their contract rather than pay a fee.

    Sod any talk of a fee, I'd be more than happy if it turns out there are clubs willing to take over their contacts.

    None of them have been successful at our level so probably have to drop to L2. Can not see anyone even matching their wages without a fee

    Correct me if I am wrong, but Wright and Riley have 18 months on their contracts, and Jones 6 months. The first two have a lot of salary due. I guess I can only hope that it is heavily reliant on appearance money, which may tempt them to move on more readily, especially if they are not in the match day squad.

    It does make you wonder who on earth would want to take over the contracts of some of this lot but, then again, we managed to move Aaron McLean on the other year. That gives us hope :)

    The players will be willing to take a pay cut. It’s in their interest, especially Riley as he is so young.
    If they don’t take a pay cut and agree a sensible payout from us they will not be playing football for 18 month. When there contract is up no one will touch them.
