I was there today - the over-riding thing for me was that our players weren’t physically strong enough. That wasn’t a good Rovers team and we probably should have been leading at half-time. What pleased me was that there was effort and players did seem bothered about conceding and losing. Leaving the ground amongst Rovers fans, they knew they got lucky today and said that if the keepers had been on the opposite team, it would have been a City win. For what it’s worth, I thought Wright did ok, nothing special but a solid 6/10. MoM = Butterfield.

 

I will hazard a guess for you. We might be only able to have one, and Drury has a contract, so it will depend on whether we have the finances to pay him off or at least lower his salary back to the Youth Team/Reserve Team. Then we can hire Todd on a proper contract.

 

Why should he be?

 

I feel certain if Todd agrees a contract he will be here ne t season. He has been with Bowyer throughout his managerial career and if he wants him which I am sure he will he will be here next year

 

Our next bunch of recruits will come from cast offs of div4/national league and will probably make our current crop of losers look like world beaters, it just ain't gonna happen without a 'massive' input of ££££££s..

If Bowyer's success with Blackpool included having Todd
as his No2, then wouldn't it be better to keep that duo
to hope they can repeat their Blackpool success?

 

Just realistic, 1 defeat in 3 would possibly be acceptable but 6 from 6 is indefensible...

 

we're up to our eyes balls debt so £1,500,000 for the season will see us good... a few shit players on NMW wont go a miss as per usual.

 

Ok, I think that is fair. My guess is we will get that, but we will have to wait and see who is right. I think we might need a little more. Can we come back to this conversation in July and August? I doubt whether there will be an announcement for obvious reasons, but we can try and work it out.

Todd is a must for us (defensive coach)yes keep Drury at a level to suit him if we can offered him. I was once advised in management to bite the bullet and get rid of dead wood or trouble causers,in the long run it will save money.

 

100% hence why Martindale should have came with hopkin. Not saying I wanted him but he was behind Livingston's success.
