The stick for Boywer is ridiculous. The things he’s looking to put into place are sound - he’s trying to get us playing the right way, he’s trying to get creative on set pieces, he’s trying to install a bit of gamesmanship. But when you’ve got a keeper with chocolate wrists and doesn’t command his box, a garbage left back, garbage centre backs, midfielders who can’t tackle, only 1 winger and he’s been out nearly all season and no quality up front, what’s he expected to do?

We’re down. The season just needs to be over. ST Sales are good and hopefully Rupp will put a few quid in - no pissing about, cut the rubbish and start the massive task of rebuilding this squad, because it needs 10-15 players changing round.

Then maybe we could try for a 6th manager in just over a year.

Anyone giving him stick simply doesn’t realise the extent of the mess he’s inherited. He should be immune for at least a season.

Stability is needed and people need to stop being Part of the problem by expecting quick fixes and then throwing toys out of prams when they don’t arrive.

HI all , relieved Gas ed here .luckiest 3 points ever, thought you deserved to win the game , played some good stuff and fought to the bitter end, I know its looking bleak for you now and can't understand how you find yourselves bottom of table after usually being near the top, what s happened since the days of McCall? We have been poor all season but are somehow managing to scrape wins and points together, goes to show you don't always get what you deserve in this game, Good luck what ever league you in next season ,sure you will rise again, like your number 10 and 17(why was 17 subbed looked dangerous to me) and g/k distribution excellent to wide men, all the best from lucky Brizz!

Totally disagree about apppinting him at end of season.

Firstly, he may not have been available now

Secondly, he has now had chance to assess everyone, and knows for sure what is needed

Thirdly, messing about appointing soneone in the summer like last season would have been madness

Yep, 6 defeats. Rings a bell does 6 defeats. Now can someone help me out and remind me who that was and how it all panned out after his sacking???

And this is exactly the case, I have just list to GB interview and I hear a manager and a club that is desperately trying to pull things back together and give the fans the type of team we can all unite behind. We all know this season cant come to an end soon enough so we can start the rebuild - and we all know this bunch of individuals are NOT going to come together as a team no matter who is in charge so to those who just moan and criticise (you know who you are) I really think the time has come just to accept this is the case

Long before Bowyer arrived, those that came before him had assembled a group of players that are not a team and never will be, no matter who is put in charge of them. But yet you continue to lay the blame at Bowyer's door. Why?

He is doing amazing for me in my latest Football Manager save. Admittedly I'm playing as Holyport and we are Tier 7 so maybe thats his level lol

If anyone’s interested specifically in a view on today’s game, in isolation, here’s my take:

OD - 6. Not much he could do with the goals, but he could’ve maybe somebody better to prevent the corner for their first. Doesn’t command his box anywhere near well enough
Caddis - 6. Full of energy in the first half and got forward well. Poor in the second half though
POC - not as commanding as last week, but there’s something there. Could be worth keeping
NKP - 5. Gets and extra point for his goal but defensively he couldn’t live with Johnson-Clarke
Chicksen - 4. Shocking. Tentative in possession and weak defensively. Bullied in anything physical
Butterfield - 6. Near and tidy but badly needs a ball winner next to him
Wright - 4. Typical of what we saw early season - easy sideways passes interspersed with the occasional, needless Hollywood ball to gift possession away. And can’t tackle.
LOB - 6. Full of endeavour and took his goal well, but poor use of the ball in the final third
Scannell - 7. Had a good game before fading, as you’d expect. Showed us how badly we’ve missed anyone with pace and the ability to get behind teams
Payne -7. Thought he was good first half before fading in the second
Doyle - 4. Gash. Needs to go.

All in all, you can see glimpses of what Bowyer is trying to do, he just doesn’t have the players.

Losing the majority by the odd goal, to me, means he’s tightened a crap defence who, unfortunately are prone to lapses of concentration. He’s then to try and get a misfiring Doyle and Miller to find the net when he’s no other options.

When you have 3 central defenders in the whole squad who are shit, 2 left backs, one of which playing his first full season and the other who wouldn’t get in a bottom half league 2 squad, a reserve keeper who can’t get into a team who lose every week, then you can hardly blame a manager who had nothing to do with assembling said squad.

We know you’re on here for the wind up, but give it a rest. You’re like a spoilt kid who’s never happy.

I agree entirely. Jason Thornton said yesterday if you feel like this you are not a true city fan. 48 years man and boy home and away. How dare he say that, he's a complete t*sser.

We are paying the price for neglecting to strengthen our defence earlier in the season.Just sad that it was so obvious to everyone else. Success has to start with a solid defence..what on earth were those responsible thinking?

Maybe that's because the players he has to work with are the very same ones no other manager this season has been able to get a consistent tune out of either?

Let's just understand why Bowyer is here.

Its not because Rhodes or Rupp figured a new man could save us.

Its because Hopkin wimped away from a relegation, knowing full well the chances of a Livingston-esquire rebound were null.

Too much crap contracted for too long on too much money.

    Prospects very, very bleak.

We just needed a man at the helm initially, luckily that man is more up for the task than Hopkin.

There was never ever going to be a great escape.

No, nothing has changed under Bowyer - OBVIOUSLY.
