Also, easy to look at Paudie today, but when we're overrun like we were today with the opposition having 25+ efforts on goal, it's inevitable our defence is going to see too much of the ball.

Paudie should be winning challenges, not playing out from the back 20 times a game, imo.

Rent and running costs on a big stadium like ours is forced to eat big time into our self generated budget for next season
Our non playing outgoings are going to at least double next season can you honestly see cash generated more than doubling to give us anywhere near the "budget" we need to be serious promotion contenders I too am sick of hearing about budgets but sadly it's a big part of any clubs ambitions

The question was, how many of the Bristol defenders have aimlessly passed the ball to us. The topic was Paudie not Watt. Johnson you are not so please don’t try to deflect.

The rent, rates and utilities are likely to be over £700,000 next year the equivalent of between 3500 and 4000 season tickets even before a ball is kicked

The lad tries hard, but he has no pace, isn't particularly fit and has poor ball control with his feet. Not helped today by players not getting close enough to him. But yes, it's all very average fare from Andy Cook. We'll be lucky if he ends up with 15 league goals by the end of the season, which is piss poor for your main goalscorer.

I feel down tonight because it was like watching the Adams team. Not felt like this since MH walked through the door. I have to keep reminding myself that when you make changes you have to expect going backwards before the new behaviour or play starts to click.

MH speaking before the match said they were working on being more positive and scoring goals and he said they had been working on the defence which was what they had to do. It looks like they are struggling. However, we just do not have the players that are able to do that as ppl have said we are far too unbalanced.

We will just have to put up with this until next season.

There’s no salary cap I believe anymore so like any business if you want to succeed and climb the ladder INVEST so simple if you don’t want to raise season ticket prices to help and totally understand the reasoning over the decision not to although feel a slight increase would be best then Stefan open your wallet and let’s move up a league.

Totally agree Botswana. Can't stand Barton, but he's put together a really good side at The Gas, got some great loans along the way (Elliot Anderson was a monster today) and they're clearly confident as fxxx. So best I was ever hoping for today was a point.

80% a new squad. We go into every summer in the same position.

This tim 12 months ago, Bristol were worse than we are. Port Vale were awful too. You CAN transform a team in a summer, IF your recruitment is right.

I trust in Hughes 100%. I have zero confidence in Sparks or Rupp though.

Didn't really watch the game but reading this thread it sounds like it was a par for the course performance for us this season today. I'm never happy when our team loses but I'm not too fussed at all and glad in a way this current bunch of losers we have playing for us showed MH their true colours and provides him with more info on looking towards next season.

You cannot be positive to score more goals then pick players who are lucky to get one goal a season like Gillieard and even Evans fails to provide any real pace and fire power, This on top of Cook getting slower means we are just not in a place to score regulary

I thought Evans was actually the slowest player on the pitch today. He couldn't cope at all with Bristols speed of movement or thought. Time to hang up the boots
