He will say the establishment are blocking him and re-elect him and he will change the law.
Alternatively he could threaten to be a disruptive force against the EU against its smooth running which might make them wash their hands of us which Macron wants to do already

Yeh, come the election, he’ll go down the no deal ‘drain the swamp’ road, and paint himself as a tireless underdog, fighting the corrupt system, of which he has never been a part of, of course...I think it will work.

I still think there is a chance that the EU will say no. Especially if BJ makes it known he will block everything possible eg next budget etc

That would be rather ironic if they did the job for us, but I cant see that happening.

Why wouldn't anyone be bitter about a moneyed elite using its economic and social privilege to feather its own nest and keep the rest of us firmly under their control?

Nah. They'll be hoping that a different complexion of parliament after a general election will be less intransigent than the current government. They'll grant an extension untill 31st December and then see what happens after a GE.
From their perspective, nothing could be much worse than the current UK government so things can only stay the same or get better. So it's worth their while to grant another short extension in the hope that a GE will break the logjam.

I know a lot can change before the General Election but how do you think it will pan out, do you think there will there be an outright winner or a coalition ?.

Some interesting disruptive ideas, but my guess is the lawyers are holed up for the week-end pouring over the documents, bills, and various historic papers to see what has happened before. If I was him I think I would be playing a straight bat with the British electorate. He will have to address the nation and say he will ask the EU for an extension under duress, but he doesn’t want to break the law of the land, as that might involve a court case, and that would further damage the timeline.

Not true. I'm pretty comfortable financially. I don't covet riches. That doesn't stop me from seeing how the very rich are able to feather their own nests and perpetuate a system that keeps poor people poor.

Difficult to predict. There are so many factors at play.
Will the Lib Dems steal Tory seats in southern Remain constituencies?
Will traditional Labour voters in Northern seats hold their noses and vote Tory for the first time in their lives, in sufficient numbers?
Is an explicit No Deal manifesto a vote winner or vote loser for the Tories?
Will Labour get off the fence?
Johnson and Corbyn are both divisive figures. Which of them will put off more voters?

My best guess is another hung parliament but who knows?

This election could see people a big change from the usual two party system I think the Liberals could have their best election for many years and we could see th Brexit party take seats in the north from Labour the Tories will do nothing in London

There may be one other option for Boris, Under article 50 the EU leaving agreement does say that only the Prime minister can ask for an extension to the agreement, The executive (Parliament ) is not allowed to ask for an extension only the official leader of the country ( Prime Minister ) May ask for one.
Now if you were pedantic you could actually legally claim that only Boris can decide to ask or not ask for one and that parliament can pass laws that can only in fact be advisory on the process as the Article 50 agreement specifically bars the executive ( Parliament ) from asking for an extension which is what they are doing through him against the prime ministers will,

Very difficult to call this one tbh. Just been watching a green spokesperson telling us all that they and other minority parties are considering pacts. Don’t worry it is for the good of all we are told. When we eventually get to a GE there is a strong chance ppl will be voting like they have never done before and might never again. If the Tories decide to go into some kind of electoral pact with Brexit Party then all bets are off. Then we have the conundrum of Scotland with Labour hinting they would give another referendum on Scotland exiting the UK. So both Labour voters and Conservative votes who don’t want to exit the UK might have to think out a strategy to stop the Scotateers.

No idea which way I am voting, but it is not crucial as I live in a fairly safe Con seat with kangaroo for an MP.

I also note that the PM is still saying he will not ask for an extension. This could get very bloody.

Excellent call, I was saying last week that Parliament don’t have the power to ask for what this Bill is asking for.
