Doyle won't get stick from me, as well as Miller, so long as Hopkin plays his prehistoric crap football, to which they are both wholly unsuited to.

Brunker on the other hand is a target man and still looks hopeless in a system tailored for his style. That's why he gets the criticism.

Kai Bruenker won't. I am willing to wager that not a single other English club is going to try and sign Bruenker when he leaves City.

 

Well don’t see the need to sack him off unless we have to, ie fair play rules.

 

He is with us until DH gets in someone better in that role, which is hopefully now only a month away - until then he is our only option in the 'battering ram' CF position.The hope has to be that once DH gets in more of his own players the likes of Doyle, Ball and Miller will benefit from a bit more craft and width in the team. But lets be honest not one of those 3 has really impressed to date and I would be very surprised if they are all still with us come the end of January.

 

I don’t see the point of getting rid of players when they have a contract which we will have to pay in full, unless we have to or they wish to leave. We just cannot afford to keep paying players and staff off. I have no real idea of the finances of the club, but I imagine it has cost us an arm and a leg to keep paying staff and players who no longer work here.

 

Totally agree, but I think there might have to be a bit of 'wheeler dealing' in January as we obviously need to strengthen a number of positions and without departures the squad would just be too top heavy

One of the problems for Bruenker is, we don’t have a similar style of player at the club for him to learn from. I’d keep him even when we get a target man, because he won’t be on big money and could actually become an asset IF he can learn the role..

Not so sure about this. I reckon if I spent some time with an experienced target man, I could learn the role pretty well, doesn't mean I'd be able to execute it though because I don't have the skills needed to do that. Same with Bruenker, he's got bags of enthusiasm and he's a trier, but no amount of coaching is going to change the fact that he's just not very good.
