We really do not have much to fear. We are a rejuvenated team playing with intent. Wrexham don't score many away from home. I didn't think much to them when we played them in the cup game at their place, contrary to all the predictions from everyone that they were going to dominate League 2 this season

Also, they have sold out their allocation. Really disappointed that we didn't give them more, they would have sold out no problem. For such a shrewd money man, Sparks should have capitalised on this one

Some would have moaned he's a money grabber who doesn't care about the fans because he's making the Midland Road fans move.
    He can't win can he?

Have Wrexham got all of the TL Dallas stand plus the last 2 blocks of Midland Rd? If so I take back my earlier statement

Wrexhams take up of the away allocation demonstrates again why we have to get out of this awful league. Fair play to them. I don’t begrudge them one bit. It’s actually nice to have a distraction away from the insane focus on the Premier League. Even The women’s premier league gets more airtime than the lower leagues. Cundy at Talk sport say there’s no football on during international weekends. Then again Cundy is purposefully a pillock.

Now we all know what usually happens when we get a full away following;) Let’s hope we buck the trend this time. Be nice to put one over Parky.

Wrexham sold their 2,740 tickets on the day they were released for sale. You've got to hand it to them. It takes one to put money into a club but it takes several thousands to back them in the stands. Wrexham appear to be doing that as oppose to the likes of Salford who put in the money but no one has any interest at all and they are simply a millionaires play thing.

We can only judge them on what they are doing now, what they might do in the future. Salford, Forrest Green, Harrogate in some effect have been bankrolled levels above where they should be and no one cares.

I doubt it's the level of money that's gone into Wrexham......... and nobody cares because there hasn't been the media frenzy around them well Salford Fc have had it

Think most clubs work like that to be honest. Look at us for the Harrogate game, if there were 11,000 there I would be amazed. When things are crap, most fan bases calls it a day, we are no different. Whenever we've had a sacking on the horizon and everyone can smell it coming, the crowds are half the size. Cant remember if it was Bowyer or Adams, but the last few home games under one had horrendous crowds.

Don't blame the locals for jumping on the bandwagon. It's something new and exciting in a pretty crap area of the UK, fair play to them for getting in on the buzz. The biggest percentage jump from their ST numbers are U18 fans, so if these kids even get a few good years on the money train before it pulls away, they may well get the bug to support their local club going forward.

I am not sure about Harrogate, have you any links to their income strand? I think they are more similar to say Sutton. I would add Fleetwood to that list of clubs that has been ‘bankrolled’.

Salford is a large City, which is merged with Manchester.
Despite its glamorous former football owners and an immensely wealthy Co-owner, the club attracts little support. It has flat lined and in fact decreased. As the stadium can hold 1400 away fans, l guess a significant number of the spectators are visitors.

Wrexham is an old established club, which has had difficult times, until the Hollywood Owner years. Some of their average attendances were well down. However the difference with say Salford is that they have substantially increased their support, something which Salford and other clubs have failed to do. The only comparable side, in recent times is Notts County, who don’t have the same high profile ‘glamorous’ ownership. They do have a lengthy and established fan base.

Salford is one of those things that I don't think will ever get off the ground. The club is far too small and it's virtually impossible growing a fanbase in greater Manchester when you have A) two global giants in the city, just minutes away and B) so many clubs within 10/15 miles of Salford. If you had some new fans, why would they choose Salford? Kids aren't going to follow Salford when United and City are there. Parents who are interested in football will already support a different club in the area and likely want their kids to follow on too. I dont know where Salford are going to grow a fanbase at all.

It's not like they need bankrolling from the stands with Lim behind the books. I'd be offering heavily discounted season tickets to the Uni and College students at Salford, even if you get a few hundred in, it's more than they were selling full price. And anyone who has been to any non-city game, even if you don't support the teams on the field you always get invested in the action. Plus those extra 200 or so might well end up buying a burger, a pint etc and want to come again.
