Good idea. As an alternative I have often thought the trainer should be allowed on the pitch to attend / assess the injury, but play should go on like in rugby. But then I suppose they will always make sure they go down in the 6 yard box so play can't go on.

With regards so called head injuries its a very difficult one to call for all referees the first time the referee don't stop the game and it turns out to be a serious head injury the referee would get slaughtered, and as we know players go down holding their heads just to waste time because they know the referee will blow up.

Trouble with that John it might be from a challenge that the opponent have received a yellow so the carded player stops on whilst the innocent party has to leave the field for 5 - 10 minutes.

It happens in RL only these guys aren't faking it and if anything it's the exact opposite

They go off for 15minute assessment and the teams allowed a free sub until he either passes the assessment or doesn't so the sub becomes permanent

There is a very similar procedure in RU with assessments of the head injury conducted off-pitch and the use of a temporary substitution allowed while that happens. It's a very sensible approach imo in a contact sport where head collisions are not uncommon ... but less so than in football! It could work if the football authorities had the desire to implement it.

If you want to engage in debate then do it properly. Can you honestly say he brings much to the table apart from the goals he scores? You could argue he doesn't need to if he's scoring but explain to me what else he offers?

I can't debate nonsense, it just brings me down to a level that would frustrate and irritate.

Besides it being a complete myth that Cook simply stands in the box and taps it in, It's also a completely pointless debate and almost like trying to discuss what else Harry Lewis brings to the table apart from saving the ball.

I've already said he guarantees goals. Isn't that praise enough? I'm saying he provides little else. On the basis of this season I don't think that's a wildly unfair assessment of him.
