I don't believe in general that he's that much worse but yesterday I thought he was horrendous for not only both sides but just in the general application of the laws and directives.

It's probably testament to both sides characters that the game didn't boil over because it would have been easy to throw in the odd bad tackle through sheer frustration.

 

Hed certainly have been no worse that Osadebe yesterday, come to think of it neither would I, seriously the lad playing his wider role has made 2 assists I don't see why he couldn't offer similar playing the Walker role.
Heard last night Pattisons injury could have him out for the remainder of the season,

We all watch a lot of football and at the moment the time wasting offences -
Delaying opposition free kicks
Delaying the opposition taking throw ins
Kicking the ball away
Deliberately throwing the extra ball on are all regularly penalised with a yellow card.

It was right in front of where I sit and he definitely started to go to his pocket and then completely bottled it.
A yellow card obviously changes the way the full back plays from then on.

 

I thought he was poor on the time wasting and let their number 3 get away with far too much. You could tell he was enjoying himself far too much with his cat and mouse time wasting. He knew just how far to push it. Having said that I don't think he was as bad as people made out. The only thing that surprised me about Cook being booked is that there was expectation in the stands that it might be a pen. He could've given Cook the benefit of the doubt but as soon as the ball started sailing over Cook it was obvious what he was trying to do.

 

If Oduor's poor on the training pitch and can put a performance in like yesterday second half think what he could do if he trained well .

And then rubs our noses in it by needlessly booking Cook in front of the kop where he knew he would get a big reaction...he's a tool ..

 

He looks close to being a real problem for opposition defenders. He is especially good with his feet in tight areas. He just lacks a bit of presence. If he isn't applying himself then we have a problem but technically he could be a gem.

 

His post match interview suggests he thought we had cover for every event.

 

I posted possibly 7/8 minutes of injury but as you say Mr Drysdale is a law unto himself and saw things differently.

 

He is a first class prima dona. He loves all the attention he is not bothered at all that it is negative he knows nothing will happen to him.

 

I mean, if that's what you take as being excellent then I get where you're coming from but for me that's just doing the basics.

Solid at the back and committing players on the counter attack isn't exactly ground breaking stuff.

We committed too many players forward in the first half which gave them the space. They did it less or very little in the second half which I take as GA sorting the players out and them listening.

 

For those of you in the kop was Cooks yellow correct from where we sit it looked a penalty, that's without my rose tinted glass's ?.

 

OK, so we gave a 19 year old lad 45 mins in a new position and he was poor so let's release him and never give him another chance.

Walker has never played in the role he is being asked to play right now. He's doing it in training and practice matches and building up confidence. Pointon and Oduor should be getting the same opportunity and we shouldn't be binning someone one just because of one poor half in a match.

 

I'd have been laughing my head off if it had been given put it that way.

 

GA wasn't even here when Pointon played those 45 mins. Obviously at the moment, based on training, GA doesn't think Pointon fits into the style he wants to play, better than the others. TBH I don't think he fits into the starting 11 either, but I would like to see something different on the bench

I think Walker is a tough act to follow not only does he play the number 10role well but he really gets stuck in. Pattison is the go to replacement unfortunately he is back injured again. I see why the manager went for Osedebe because he is the most experienced but he won’t go down the road again.Chapman doesn’t seem to find favour with Alexander so I am sure after his second half performance Oduobwill have the shirt on Friday but it will be interesting to see who is on the bench

 

I don’t think anyone’s saying release him at all, he can grow into a 8/10 role but the time isn’t right in need win league games at the moment. The competition from established players in those positions is too strong at the minute BB . Lose Walker, Odour and Pattison with injuries and suspension may bring the time forward ?
