I thought he was quite good at Rochdale, very direct and unsettled admittedly a poor defence.

Only listened to the Swindon game and the commentators thought he did well.

I would have no problem if he starts tomorrow, rather that than back to a narrower diamond shape

 

I thought Nevers showed some intelligent touches and did ok without really having much impact. Unfortunately Chapman has looked an increasing threat in the last couple of games and we missed him badly when he went off.
We need wins so I agree that we need to keep the system that sees us create chances whoever comes in

 

He did well at Rochdale but was poor has Chapmans replacement against Swindon I would give a start to Osedebe wit Walker moving left

 

When you put it like that, it's clearly in their interest to lose tomorrow. If they can help us in our quest to go up this season, it will be one less promotion chasing team they have to worry about next season

 

I clearly wasn't watching the same game as the comms. Full back had little trouble dealing with him and I'm not sure what he does well. Doesnt look a goal threat like Wright was or Banks and doesn't have the close control of Chapman. Weak defensive too

 

Cook could have scored 6 goals the last two games. No drought just a little off it. Nevers looks like a very heavy footyplayer. not sure about him... Tyriek would have pushed us on methinks

 

funny. Wish i had his money though, It would be free tranquilizers for all at the game tomorrow.

 

I was watching on iFollow with the radio commentary.

Most of the time what I was seeing with my eyes bore no resemblance to what the commentator was claiming Nevers was doing, I found it quite bizarre.

 

Got a really good view of him from the stand on Tuesday night second half as he's on that side of the pitch. His first touch lets him down resulting in him never really being in control. He's only young so he's got a lot of time in the game but I'm just not sure what his USP is?

I don't get this"his first touch let's him down,but he's young and will learn " business,controlling a football should be the first thing you learn,and if you can't do it,then should not be playing as a professional.

 

We need him to create or score or both, but Nevers hasn’t shown either quality. If Banks doesn’t step up it’ll be as you were from Tuesday night. I’d almost be tempted to throw Costello on the left of a 3. At least he occupied the defenders and ran the line well.

 

We will beat Gillingham tomorrow and convincingly I think.

 

And Levi Sutton will nick a last minute winner for Harrogate at Northampton.

 

Like many other similar players we've had over the years at his age/experience level - tries hard, tries to do the right things, is quite raw, comes in and out of games but most critical I'd say - doesn't really look like scoring or providing an assist.

Problem is, I'm not sure Odasebe would either...

Which leaves us struggling a bit...

That's very fair comment. To be fair to Nevers he's not on his own in that respect, the amount of young lads I see who struggle with ball control that have come from premiership academies is shocking.

 

Like who? I think he did ok.

 

What I like about Osadebe is he takes people on with a bit of pace. I expect Gillingham to get players behind the ball and he is the sort of player to open them up if he isn’t fit enough for 90 minutes bring Costello on later

If ever there is a must win game this is it. It wouldn’t be fatal but with the run in we have even the play offs will be in danger. We need to be at it from the start not chasing it in the last ten minutes.
