Interesting point on the Sporting Life website. Carlisle gained only 11 points against the other teams in the top 8.

This season, the top eight – champions Leyton Orient, runners-up Stevenage, third-placed Northampton, the four play-off sides and Mansfield, in eighth, edged out on goal difference – finished 13 points clear of the rest, suggesting a clear chasm in quality.

In their 14 meetings with the other sides among that octet, three sides in the play-offs collected a respectable 22 points out 42, those being Stockport, Salford and Bradford, while Carlisle amassed a paltry 11, suggesting they beat the also-rans but fell short against the elite.

almost 19000 sold as of this morning, Great effort . keep them coming. 41500 customers this week alone. so far.
We have some potential, where is our Hollywood multi millionaire owners.
Surely we are a better option than Wrexham.

Each to their own mate. If we all liked the same thing, the world would be a pretty mundane place and it might mean we would all have to like Leeds united.
    Vive le difference i say.

I wouldn't say we are a better option to be honest, for the plan the hollywood owners have. Like they are wanting to develop the ground at some point to be around the mid 30,000s when all development is done, which also helps when the council gifted them loads of levelling up money to help pay for the development. They've also got a development going on at the training complex, want to make it an incredible facility and they are investing in the academy, wanting the club to be the biggest and best in Wales and a chance at the Prem within 10 years....... for the same vision to happen at City, they'd need to either build a new stadium with expansion potential or buy VP along with the houses behind to give them some kind of option in the future to develop it. They'd need to buy land and build a new training complex too.

For the Wrexham kind of vision to happen here, it would cost far too much to even consider it a worthwhile investment, and unlike Wrexham, I don't see the council helping us out either. A potential new owner with a lot of future planning, probably isn't coming to Bradford unless they just have zero interest in getting a worthwhile return on their money.

It will be interesting to watch the Wrexham story unfold.
I will be amazed if they ever get anywhere near filling a mid 30000's stadium. Not that many places around there and the population is 135,000.
Cardiff 450,000 and Swansea 250,000 populations , Cardiff 31500 last premier season average , Swansea no higher than 21000 and both averaging about 17000 in the championship this year.
I feel its a play thing for the hollywood guys and when they are bored, they will sell up and move on. I could be wrong,

There is no way Wrexham are getting mid 30,000, either as a capacity or the ability to fill it. The stadium footprint is hemmed in by buildings and roads and let's see how happy their fans are when they ain't steamrollering league 2 by Christmas.

I don't think they'll sell up, they've bought far too much into the emotion. But we all know how fickle.us footy fans are, one bad spell and let's see how loyal their North American fan base toward Parky and the owners. And established championship clubs can't fill a 30,000 stadium every week. A bit like the Geordies, some of who were banging on about a 90,000+ stadium.

Fully agree. I dont think they'll ever get close, my guess is they want to make Wrexham a brand that might attract fans from all areas. I wouldn't be surprised if they end up with about 25,000 and call it at that point.

What? Is that a silly attempt to suggest season ticket holders don’t count. You ain’t Ryan Sparks are you!

What you really mean is the taxpayer is funding billionaires ambitions….Sounds like a great idea.

The talk of us needing a new stadium, always amuses me. VP needs a spruce up and yes the area around is not the best.
But i reckon , low to mid 20,000 is around our mark, might push higher 20's with a good premiership team.
Its the lopsided layout to VP that causes issues. Now with a stand built at Midland road height at the Bradford end, the stadium would be just about complete.

Like you say, levelling up money should not be used to fund private business, especially where the owners are mega rich.

To do that we would need to encroach on Cornwall Terrace and Lupton St. Perfectly doable , I agree, but all the houses would have to be purchased and demolished which adds to cost.
Not forgetting the downside either….VP isn’t ours to redevelop.
