Looks like we are third favourites to go up behind Stockport and Carlisle

 

So they've basically gone off our final league standings do you think, rather than current form? I'm not a big gambler so not really sure what they go on

 

My main concern for the playoffs is our lack of form recently.

Leyton Orient - we played OK but Orient were clearly a class above.
Crewe - we played well for 15 minutes out of 101 and deserved nothing from the game.
Northampton - difficult one to assess given the circumstances, but we certainly played well in for first half and were expectedly under the cosh in the 2nd. Gillingham - awful first half, and whilst we went 2-1 up we failed to manage the game and Gillingham deservedly got a point.
Swindon - a big game against a team out of form and we didn’t turn up.

But Sutton at home (3-1), Grimsby at home (3-2) were two games in April where we showed what we were about.

Anything can happen in the play offs, and Carlisle aren’t exactly in the best of form themselves, but our own recent form is a concern for me.

 

Being more expansive hasn't worked for us. Our best form has been Jan-Mar when we played the diamond and were pretty defensive.

 

Prefer not to be favourites tbh.

 

Referee for the first leg is Ross Joyce who was the one for the Sutton match at Valley Parade.

 

100% it will be Drysdale for the final in his last ever game.

 

Good. It’s better being the underdog.

He gave Sutton that throw in on half way after that double deflection that clearly should have been ours.

The EFL conspiracy against us is in full flow.

3 pages on the game itself 40 on tickets who us looking forward to this match?
Ithink the tie overall will be very tight might need to practice penalties

 

Good point. After Cookie who else would you trust with a penalty. I'm thinking maybe Jamie Walker, possibly Smallwood....then I'm struggling

 

Both fullbacks, Clayton, Derbyshire & Banks. Struggling after that.

 

Adam Clayton was a regular penalty taker for Town.

 

Banks possibly

 

If he starts the match no way will he still be there at the end

 

I'll give you Derbyshire and possibly Banks, but on what basis the other 2? Clayton won't be on the pitch

 

Until we see the take them we won’t know but I think experience in big games helps

 

I don’t think I can stand a penalty shootout after all the stress of getting this far.
