Family responsibilities means I couldn't attend this evening. First time in a long time that I'm watching a massive City game on live TV rather than being there in person. Looking at that huge, loud crowd, I bet there's plenty of neutrals that support teams from higher up the leagues, watching the game at home wondering just why we're a League 2 club.

City might be one up, but they've struggled to put two passes together. Need to grab a hold of midfield or I fear the worst.

 

Gilliead a bit of a passenger in my opinion. Not in the game at all.

 

Oh and Clayton! Forgot he was even on the pitch.

 

We've sat deep since scoring. The formation gives them a lot of space wide. Think Hughes needs to switch a few things at half time and we want to get on the ball more.

 

I'm enjoying this one. I think we're playing well. In fact, to me we're finally playing like I've been expecting us to all season. Most games this season we've looked very likely to concede at any time. It's been awful. Sure, Carlisle could still score tonight but I don't have that usual feeling of inevitability.

 

Too deep and disjointed as usual.

Left hand side Ridehalgh absolutely isolated with no one in front of him, has 2 players all the time.
