It might be win/win if you have a life that is entirely based around attending football matches. But most normal people have far more demands on their time during the spring and summer months when the weather is better - holidays, family and friends activities, playing and watching other sports, hobbies and interests that require reasonable weather etc etc. For most people, moving football to a summer game would mean far more conflicts of activities and therefore far more missed games. It would also leave the more boring winter months devoid of football to distract us from the cold, dark and dearth of other activities.
So for me, and for many others, it would be a massive lose/lose.

We are lucky in this country as extreme weather events are still rare. I hope @Tennesseebantam and his family are ok, 6 ppl have died and 24 ppl injured. Not to mention hundreds of homes flattened.

 

As has already been highlighted, Huddersfield have a modern, purpose built, ground that would have had a full spec modern drainage system installed when it was built. Whereas we have a very old ground, that we don't own, built on a slag heap on the side of a valley that would cost many millions to fully excavate and lay modern drainage under - even assuming it could feasibly be done given the substrate it's built on. It's simply not worth the expense and disruption to prevent one postponement every five years. Rupp certainly wouldn't be financing it, so it would inevitably impact on the playing budget.

 

Could be because we didn't play Crystal Palace in the Premier League - they were relegated in 97/98 and didn't return until 04/05, so it must have been our promotion season.

If it was before 15th Jan 99 it was El Tel, if it was after it was Steve Coppell.

Edit, the replayed match was 19th January so the postponed match must have been a bit before that, meaning it was El Tel who was in charge.

 

Perhaps he could do a live 7 hour show from the centre circle pre match for every game.

A quick walk around every 15 minutes to let everyone know what's changed should keep you all informed.

Same. I’ve had enough. Some will say you should support the club regardless of the custodians in charge but I’m sorry, when the people at the very top are just royally taking the piss and the players looks like they can’t be arsed then when why would I take time away which could be spent with my family and waste another penny on the club?
As sad as I feel about the state of the club I’m starting to not care anymore.
