His whole demeanour has completely changed since the bright early confident sounding interviews.

Bit of a nonsense ramble tonight, and I'm pretty sure, he doesn't believe what he was saying in that we can still be successful this season and we have good enough players in the squad.

No mention of the 'injured' Jake Young

This season is in a road to nowhere based on that. We did miss a couple of chances but that would paper over the basic play and limitations of our play.
The club should be concerned. 6k max there tonight. Why turn up to continue watching such a rudderless club. I did but that’s a couple of hours I won’t get back.
ST campaign will have to be an Oscar winning job based on the fare presented. Make no mistake we have regressed significantly under this stewardship and it feels that many have given up. I don’t blame them. Sparks and Rupp this is your responsibility.

That was a disgrace to football tonight. Absolutely soul destroying kick and run football that all of us on here could coach a group of five year olds to do. This is supposed to be a professional manager and a group of professional players yet they have the nerve to serve up that garbage.

 

I’ve mentioned previously the Walsall,Harrogate Grimsby home games under Hughes as being the low points of this season and how people just couldn’t be bothered to celebrate last minute equalisers and just went home after the games without really remembering much about the 90 minutes they had just watched.
I don’t think we’ve quite reached those levels but I don’t think we are too far away.
Tonight had absolutely no redeeming factors and will be quickly put in the ever increasing category of “Bradford city home games to forget”

 

It makes you laugh that Sparks said

a) GA was the best man for job
B) said we’d undertaken the most thorough recruitment process since he was at club
C) we didnt purposefully look to recruit a manager to suit a squad set up to play 5-3-2 or 4-3-3 specifically,

its just a mess. They wanted cowley, got snubbed, weren’t convinced by anyone else but things changed after GA left MK Dons, so then the narrative changed and we’re told he was always our man.

but why? If the squad was recruited to play 5-3-2, why not use a coach that plays that way?

theyre clueless. Winging it on a day to day basis.

 

Interesting that Radio Leeds made a point of saying "all we can do is re-iterate the official line from the club and that is he is injured". I doubt he is refusing to play, this looks more and more like the club hanging on until deadline day to get the best price for him.

 

He looks like he's in front of Pointon too which is absolutely crazy for me.

 

Really looking forrad to this game. Get another home win and we will be steadily climbing the table. The matchday squad looks a little stronger with Pattison and Oliver back in contention.

 

Unless football is moved to a summer sport or indoor, there will continue to be plenty of postponements up and down the country. Not sure why people lose their shit every time it happens, it’s literally happened all throughout football’s existence.

 

Bottom line Rod, it's teddies out of the pram because their plans for the day are spoilt so they have to have someone to blame.

I was really looking forward to the game, but having worked outside in the pouring rain all week and pretty torrential since Thursday , i had a good idea this might happen.
Its not the end of the world, we will just have to dick team plastic at a later date.

I do vividly remember the special train journey to the match on the Monday, and of course the match though. One of my favourite away days of all time.
