Disconnect is the right word. Look at the first goal - or the second for that matter. Big distances between players, too easy to get crosses in, too much space in front of the back 4. Players dont know their position or the system. How many many formations have we played this season? Its nonsense. If you're a side that isn't prolific, you at least need to be solid and difficult to play against. we're not. It's awful stuff.

I said it a few weeks ago - this is the worst City squad in my living memory. The only thing that's likely to prevent relegation is the god awful standard of the league.

And yet there's a sense of wonder at the club that people arent paying to watch this shite?

This is embarrassing, Stuart.

Even if you want Guthrie to do well the fact is he isn't AND he doesn't even look like scoring. You need to take him off and put someone else on who actually looks like scoring.

This blind faith and support of certain players doesn't work. You will lose your job because of these poor decisions that result in losing matches.

The decision making by the majority of this team stinks of a squad who are either not good enough, don’t know their roles, are being poorly managed or all three. My worry watching this is all three.

 

Few of these lads will be lucky to be involved in the pro game next season. McCall included.

Very rare do i moan about the team, but how easy was that for Newport. Basic football, sorry Stuart but the younger manager has shown you how to do it. Very poor no ideas at all. Where is the leader, we don't have one, another long season

Its tough to take I agree - as I said in midweek we have a number of players who sadly just dont look up to it which means we are always up against it, but this constant tinkering just doesnt help.
This is only putting 2 and 2 together and making 5 but knowing a new man is coming in at the top as soon as possible, could noises about what else might change be reaching the management team. They must know what we have isnt good enough but 1) were some funds being saved perhaps for a new boss or 2) is this sapping some of Stuarts virtues - man management and enthusiasm. I just hope it doesnt get really messy as the way its going Stuart is already getting ridiculed on here and thats one thing he never deserves - he cant be classed as a legend as a player and then slagged off as a manager, he is human like the rest of us and loves the club so please lets leave out some of the insults

 

Mind boggling what he says about Samuel's. He has cited this reason twice already since he signed. Begs the question what the hell was he thinking in bringing that type of player in then.

 

Agreed. Doubt any club in this division would be worried about any individual we have on the books or a combination of any 11 for that matter. Stuart has however got to find a formation and preferred 11 to fit it and stick to this for a period. Make us difficult to beat, build up confidence and grow it from there.

 

The fact that there is even a debate to be had over which teams were worse between this one and 2011 shows how far we’ve fallen in 3 years, all that hard work for 5 years before hand destroyed.

 

Parky identified the type of player he wanted and brought them in. Stuart’s recruitment has been abysmal. Watt and the lad from Leeds being the highlights. Where are the leaders who’ll grab the game by the scruff of the neck like Doyle, Jones, Cullen, Lee Evans..? Our owner and CEO have already shown their hand, it’s not about the team this season so we’ll just have to hope we get enough points not to go down.

 

There was so little fight in that 2nd half. They looked like they just wanted to get out of the rain. Paudie looked listless and disinterested as his passes went astray. It’s alright McCall being all pally with them and them all saying he’s the best they’ve played under, but sometimes players need a rocket under them and be afraid to get back to the dressing room and face a severe doing. Instead it’s how great Newport are.
