Yep, we get that you don’t rate Bowyer. You made your feelings known when he first took over, making unrealistic demands. You talk if us having 33 points from 34 games. But please bear in mind that we collected 16 of those from an 8-game purple patch between end of November and January 1st. Take that period out and we managed 17pts from the previous 26 games.

When will you get it into your head that the squad is the problem here and not whoever the manager is? Doyle has been very poor, Payne appears to be weighted down by the contract extension he signed with us in January, Ball has flattered to deceive, Butterfield has done nothing for 3seasons. Only O’Brien has shown anything.

But at the end of the day, if those players can’t put the ball in the back of the net and those behind them are incapable of defending, it doesn’t take a genius to work out what will happen. This is IRRESPECTIVE of the name on the manager’s door.

Then you have players letting down their team mates. We had a chance on Friday until NKP showed the liability he has been all season. How does a manager legislate for that happening? The players have let down all our managers this season.

Bowyer got the ‘new manager bounce’ when he took over. We beat Peterborough, almost managed a draw against the league leaders and were unlucky not to get something at Oxford. But then the players reverted to type and we’ve been on the slump ever since.

You have heard of FFP? He can’t just sign who he likes, whilst leaving the piss-poor players in the building, regardless of how many millions he’s worth

There you go again with your assumptions. There is zero evidence that appointing Evans would have “had a far better chance of keeping us up”. You say he doesn’t sign aggressive players and instead makes them play that way. So why does he do a complete overhaul at every club he’s been to?

He goes out to sign big, physical and powerful defenders and a target man. He signs players of the Jay Spearing ilk to be competitive and niggly. Bowyer has asked his players to do this more, but it’s not in their nature. They’d rather just let players run past them then attempt to stop them by any means.

This is the players, not necessarily the manager’s style. As an example, Hopkin wanted that very type of player and for a while JO’Brien delivered, but he was the only one. Even he tried to get his team mates to follow his lead, but the rest simply wouldn’t, or should I say couldn’t, play that way.

I didn't expect this from you. Thought you had drive.

What you talking about FFP? The richest club is the PL in City seem to get round it.

No one is saying he needs to making 10m transfers but he needs to bloody back the manager and get some quality in.

There probably are ways around it mate, but as we’ve seen with other clubs, they have been penalised for breaking the rules. I don’t know the rules or how the likes of Man City get around it, but I just don’t see us being able to throw circa £2m to clear this season’s debt, a similar amount to pay off the waste of space players from this season and then giving Bowyer another £2.5-£3m to rebuild his squad and not breaking the FFP by doing so

Do start talking sense. The 'richest club in the PL' as you describe Man C is now being investigated separately by the PL and by UEFA for breaches of their FFP regulations.

You're aware that there is more than one set of FFP rules?
And NONE of them apply directly to clubs in L1 or L2 unless they enter an UEFA sanctioned competition.
L1 & L2 operate under Salary Cost Management Protocol (SCMP)

If you are aware they might be charged, why would you base your argument around it not having happened yet?

I'd pick a club who not only hasn't been charged, but who definitely won't be charged at all.

I'm L1 and L2 an owner can put in unlimited funds and never be sanctioned as it would class as 'turnover'.

    Not allowed in FFP.

@Dennis@Dennis is the go to man for that really, but yes very different.
The UEFA one is biased towards the biggest clubs (those who've traditionally been big in Europe) and who want to preserve their position and not worry about the nouveaux riches like PSG, City etc.
The PL one is more of a gentlemen's agreement biased towards the Big 6
The Championship one is designed to stop owners buying promotion as been tightened year on year.

I see, so Stefan could put money in without the club being penalised?

Only as a gift, and then it counts as turnover of which only 50% can be used for Player Related Expenditure

So if for instance he put in 2 mil, only 1 mill can be used on players? If for instance he used the other milllion to pay off overdraft or over-expenditure how would they work out what was player related and what wasn’t.
