Bowyer & Rhodes ???

Agree about the risk and said so in my reply. But my point stands; Devine is no defender and if he was our back-up, knowing the problems we’ve had with Mellor’s fitness, I’d be a VERY worried man next season

 

Mate I would be.

I don't think Devine is good enough for Bradford City in any position at any level but he will be here next season because the lad seems to have no drive and will stay here but to be fair Bowyer did say he liked him.

 

He did start off very well and recently his performances have not been great, I'm quoting what we have seen of him when on his game has been IMO a level above his team mates, of course he needs to produce that level consistantly which I believe he would with better players aronund him than he presently has.

 

Sorry Trevor but I just don’t agree.

Evans likes players that have a nasty streak and a lot of fight in them. He likes his teams full of power and strength, with a targetman up front.

Now, how the hell does he mould this lot into an Evans squad, knowing he has none of those things at his disposal? Would I be more confident of him getting us promoted? Yes, I would because he’d hopefully be able to use the window to bring in those types of players.

But for you and others to put him on a pedestal and treat him like Jesus Christ is just insane. Jesus didn’t really turn water into wine and Evans can’t turn shite, spineless players into something they’re not..!

 

If that’s an indication, we’re fooked. He said similar things about Wright too and has started giving him games. If these are the quality of players on show next season, your demand for promotion will be way, way out

 

These are contracted players and like it our not most will be here.

One of the reasons why I believe Rhodes has to go if Bowyer fails is because surely Rhodes knew we have at least 16 contracted players for next season and most will still be here and we needed a coach or man that could get the best out of a bad bunch.

We're not going to get a new squad in.

Bowyer is struggling already so is he the man for next season? Not sure but heads must roll if he isn't and pomotion has to be the aim even if you're playing for us!

You can't tell fans when they can attend or otherwise, it does not make us any better for attending today.
I will be attending today but it will be out of habit rather than me expecting a City win, it would be great to see a good game and a win but it might benifit Bowyer to select players today who would not normally get a start to see if they are up for it.

Whenever something is posted where someone backs the manager it’s you who replies with fordy next in line. Have you two ever been seen in the same room?

I get you love Evans but he would not have changed it.

 

Is the man that's worth 120m going to back the manager? That's all we can hope but we're not going to get rid of all our current squad.

 

Bit over the top with regards praising him, No one is putting him on a pedestal or treating him like Jesus Christ that is just over reaction from you, The point I was making was that he would have done things different and had a far better chance of keeping us up, He does not buy aggressive nasty players who stretch the rules he makes them as a style of play and it seems to work for him at least short term which is exactly what we required, Instead the board accepted relegation was certain and instead of trying avoid relegation they appointed a manager for next season before this one was lost

 

Very good post @BSABantam74, just the one comment I disagree with, it would be great to see a "Gary Jones" type of player being the first signing most would be delighted, but unfortunatly that type of player could be the last piece of a sucsessful jigsaw, so although it would be a statement from the club and Bowyer I'm not bothered if said players is first in or last in.
