I will take that for a start.
A few things that still need to be worked on and hopefully a couple of additions in the next week or so.
I thought Billy Clarke had a decent game and linked play well, unlucky not to score with that dinky little chip.

Interesting to hear Stuart say Tyler is the fastest player in the squad when they've been doing sprinting tests. (Although he said DMH didn't take part).

Also be interested to see if these possession statistics are a regular appearance. We were letting them have as much possession as they wanted in their own half but as soon as they passed the halfway line we pressed and on many occasions pushed them right back to the keeper. They retained possession but it limited their attacking play.

Stuart very enthusiastic in his post match. Said its given him the option to consider recruitment in other areas and explaining he and Kenny just like working with smaller squads, but he's not naive about planning for injuries and other setbacks.

On paper the squad is significantly worse. On paper this time last year we had done probably the best transfer business of anyone in the league. We all know though how painful last season was at times even when we were in the autos.

Today was far and away better than anything we saw last season. Barring the brief bit of form we hit in Dec 2018, that is genuinely the best I have seen us play and the most enjoyable game to watch since early 2017/18 season when McCall had us at the top end of Lg1. Really that shows how bad the last 2/3 years have been as we weren't even that good today and I feel there is more to come.

Not getting carried away, but really looking forward to the league kicking off next week now

Great result, even though our squad is lacking, I thought our team lineup looked capable of getting a result, Bolton aren’t as good as people make out but a great result all the same.

Added bonus I put a £5 on us and won £35.

Not for me. The game on Tuesday is utter Mickey Mouse and it needs to be used to give players that need a run out a game to build more match fitness.

A week Saturday is when the football season really starts and that's when it's serious time.

Mr Evatt still beefing about the loss saying they totally out played us and that their goal was well worked. If O'connor had got a better touch to the ball they wouldn't have scored at all ,he certainly doesn't like the fact his super team got beat by a better team. If the pressures getting to him after one loss then he wont be around long if his side take a while to gel.

He's right about us not having anywhere near the number of clear cut chances they had though. We had loads, they had a couple.

Bolton do intrigue me. Evatt is still relatively inexperienced as a manager, they have signed a lot of players who are unknown quantities as in they have played a lot of non-league, and a lot of young lads, supplemented by the odd experienced pro.

It might be just me but I’m not sure where their “favourites” tag comes from, I can see them being well outside the top 6. I seriously think we have have a stronger squad than them on paper.

Their fans are not happy. Their 3 "marquee" signings haven't produced at all and the rest are unknowns. Who was it on here that said Bolton were light years ahead of us?

Quite possibly, Tony. As I hear Bolton over the last few weeks are talked about in football circles in the same sentence as Bury!!
I have followed them on the forum and Bolton News since the days of PP. Currently they have rookie owners, lost their main funds weeks before the takeover and were bankrolled at that time by Nick Mason (Pink Floyd). Amazingly then sacked Keith Hill, who I thought they appointed in preparation for L2, because he failed to get enough points per game, of all things. They paid £250k compo to Barrow for this guy who in my view will be gone by mid October unless things improve and as others say last week (I was there), he looked a man under pressure, certainly the home people clearly expected to roll us over and got a shock which went down badly. "This is simply not good enough" comment overheard at HT and it got worse and goes through the club. Moaning mid week that Crewe had damaged the pitch in warm down and posting pictures is very poor.
Last Saturday Evatt took 70% of his interview with the Manchester Evening News defending Doyle who is on a mind boggling contract and so it goes.
My forecast is Admin by Christmas but the owner has taken first charge on the whole complex so she will be ok, having seen her in action, feel sorry for the fans as to what may come down the road.
On the other hand Fordy is always right so they could go up after all Evatt lost 6 of his first 8 at Barrow but then again the Colchester guys were forecasting Southend, Oldham, Stevenage and Bolton to be in big trouble soon so maybe Fordy is not right, who knows.

The old Bradford City app has been replaced by a EFL one. From what I can see you can’t buy a match pass from the app, you have to click on the fixtures from the City website and buy a match pass for a tenner from there. It then adds the match to your account in the app.

Sorry Keefly.. there nothing to be positive about city.

Theres no trust in our manager, CEO, owner, and now Sparks...

To repeat.. automatic promotion is absolute must. That doesn't happen those above have FAILED and have the players. And the happyclappers are not helping.. just my opinion.

Derby got away with it after their breach of FFP was dismissed... and I think Wednesday lost their case
