I'll start this thread early, as there seems to be some confusion regarding the screening of this match, following City's confirmation that the match will take place at 3pm on Saturday 5 September 2020.

According to a now deleted line on City's official website:

However, City have since deleted the line "No streaming option will be available for the affair whatsoever", as it now seems that there may be a possibility of a live streaming option: https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/18671282.bolton-bradford-city-fans-wait-efl-confirm-stream-options-cup/

    It's very strange wording.

That's an interesting read.Their manager is very upbeat about the coming season, and relishes the fact that they are favourites for promotion.Downside for them is Dennis Politic is out for the season, very good young winger.

I am considering purchasing the match pass for this game but there's no up to date available news or link to subscribe.
I have never used this media facility before and with the present situation regarding away attendance being scuppered it appears to be the only option to watch City play away.
Has anyone bought the Bolton pass? and for anyone who as had iFollow previously what was it like, any good or poor coverage.
I have contacted IFollow via email regarding an away package for the new season but they don't do one and with the club supplying a home pass with your season ticket it might get complicated.

I've used iFollow in the past for mid-week games and the odd Saturday when it was the international break.
The coverage is good. Far better than I was expecting.
You buy matches (both home and away) on a match by match basis this season. If you get a season ticket home games on iFollow is included in your ticket. Away matches must be purchased separetly.

I used ifollow perhaps 3 or 4 times last season, the picture quality is good, and in game stats are good, just one match the picture and comentry were out of sync. But was happy to purchase my season ticket in the knowledge I will watch most games on ifollow. Even away games at £10 represent good value when you consider the cost of tickets and travel

I had I follow last season as I live on the east coast and have Plusnet for the internet,it cost £45 for the season and you pay £10 per match home and away I don’t think all the clubs in div 2 have IFollow
Forest Green /Harrogate and Salford are the ones that I could notget last season, all in all a good deal because all home games come with your season ticket, I have managed to buy the Bolton cup game £10 but don’t ask me how I did it because the format this year is different I can’t even access my account through the EFL App.

I've been using it for the past three seasons. Each season has got better. The quality is good, the commentary is in sync, and there's now even replays and half time highlights. If you watched the game vs Town on Youtube, it's a millions miles away from that in terms of quality.
My new season kicks in on the 2nd, so I'm waiting for that to get processed before I can say I can access the match correctly. Sometimes there are a few teething problems.

Thanks to all that have replied to this thread.
Finding the comments really useful as I'm sure other supporters will do.
iFollow is new to a lot of us,hope the club publish clear instructions on the main site on how to use this welcome addition to the clubs season ticket offer during the pandemic stadium restrictions imposed at the moment.

I'd tecommend it to any iFollow virgins. Due to work commitments I can't make mid-week games I've relied on iFollow and as other posters have said the service is good.
With more mid-week games in a trunkated season, I'm grateful auch a service exists.
As a city fan of long standing I'm glad iI don't have to try and tune into a crackly radio service from Pennine radio to catch the game.

Last season on the occasions when there were problems with the Radio Leeds commentary not working on I Follow I found they sorted it when I phoned 0800 3893333.

I kinda miss listening on the "wireless". I used to sit in the car and listen to the match in the freezing cold cos I was worried i'd get a flat battery.

If I remember correctly he was notified of a goal at a game by a flashing red light.
