Since the start of the season I have "managed", no pun intended,by having such low expectations due to the coaching set up and you know who but with D.H.'s appointment and after a battering,going 2-0 up,I actually thought we were going to win and we'd turned a corner.

A lot of swearing and you can't write shh't like this came out and I found myself in meltdown once again.

We're in trouble at the moment and although I rate D.H, I hope he can save us.

He shouldn't be in the team let alone be our captain . He is piss poor worst player we have had in a long while .

 

Really? It feels like it's not going to happen,but eventually it does, unless, something significant happens to instill some real belief.

Said it after watching two pre season games we are too small physcially and have no legs in midfield.josh wright is a poor addition.hes a journyman player.akpon needs a partner to compliment what he does and riley wood are u23 dev players not ready for the old div 3 battle hardened play ground that it is.
We missed a trick too with not adding a striker with presence and pace then theres the enigma that is payne hes too light weight and small but on the slip side hes scored three goals and got us six points i think pre season as come back to bite us on the arse fitness and recruitment wise.

I think David Hopkin was making that point, when referencing having four nineteen year olds on the pitch at the end.

We can criticise game management etc, but having Gibson and O’Brien in central midfield up against the likes of Jay Spearing is a complete mismatch.

We’ve been a bit unlucky with injuries, but PP and SM both made sure that the squad was packed with central defenders and central midfielders. Sometimes to the bemusement of fans. However, they get that if those areas are weak, then you are pretty much stuffed. Although not perfect, it would be nice to have the likes of Dieng and Law to call on now rather than a few callow youths who might have potential.

We have a team of "May Be's a team of young lads we hope will come to fruition and put a few quid in the bank
Bradford City is a club who play (at the moment) in L1 and the 1st team is the one that counts
We are not and never will be in the position to do a Manchester United of 92 who incidentally kept their young starlets to let them blossom for the club
The team has been systematically destroyed we have no experience no old heads to steady the ship
We saw what life would be like without CW or a similar striker when he was injured last season yet no lessons were learnt (again)
Does anyone think a PP team would have lost yesterday if they had he would have made them walk home. DH must have known the playing position before signing on the dotted line he must know that the January window is crucial to our season and sees that as an opportunity to enhance is managerial career

You wouldn't @Onside but that is because you know you don't know more than your experts.
Rahic on the other hand "knows football" and so isn't burdened with the humility that would ordinarily restrain someone from sticking their uneducated nose in where it's not welcome.

 

It might be just me but i really like the look of Wood and O Brien. Both like to get stuck in and for me would be starters next week. Ball up top with Doyle is an improvement but like we have seen week after week the centre spine of the team is all over the place. No pace, indecision, and lacking in leaders.

I had a Steve Bruce feeling at about 5.00PM yesterday evening.
I think he was Managing Birmingham, when his 'Keeper conceded yet another goal, and laughed.
Was he laughing at his own blunder, or the poor players ahead of him ?

Either way - Bruce game him a slap.
I wonder if Hopkin felt a few of our players warranted a slap at 5.00PM, yesterday ?

Chicksen not even on the bench. Has he been found out, or was he injured.
Thought NKP was his usual self. The whole back four looked a bit out of position and disorganised. Mellor is too big and slow - gets turned inside out when at full back defending, and can’t beat a man when overlapping.
Keeper did great, and that allows forgiveness for his blunder.
Midfield. Did we have one? O’Brien got stuck in and put imself out much more than Wright did whole game. I think Coleville was carrying that knock most of the game.
Ball looked good, and I’d keep him in the team in place of Miller. The latter playing like he knows that’s gonna happen.
Doyle had some decent knock downs and seems to take a good pen, but you gotta feel sorry for him.
Depends what type of football DH is gonna play, but if it’s on the deck, he’s gotta get his midfield playing if we’re gonna win any games.

 

When will we next win a league game?

I'm going for Coventry at home on 23rd October.
