Their failings are probably down to socialism. Socialism always fails. The equal sharing of misery causes civil unrest.

I'd say France is pretty liberal in terms of immigration and tolerance. Or it was until they opened the gates...

 

The complaint was made for reasons other than just being offended, it was a parent(s) that were unhappy with the way the coaches in the junior section were being asked to book there ideas up, the transfer of the junior section that the women's team has built up over several years has been taken away from them and transferred to the BCAFC FITC.

Hope the parent(s) is(/are) happy and got what they wanted, it could potentially fold the Women's team, which leaves the juniors with no 1st team to progress to.

 

Don't know all the ins and outs but the coaches/adults are not setting a good example to the kids. Acting like babies spitting their dummies out and throwing their toys out of the pram.

The club needs to get them all together and sort it out

Socialism isnt a dirty word when done fairly. The UK practices socialism every day, the NHS being one. Your bins being collected being two. Benefit system, free bus passes, the army.

 

Don't forget the vast majority of schools!

And I’m being facetious- she shouldn’t be. But it’s a similar principle - singling out players on the basis of sexuality and making generic assumptions from a singular point of view.

 

I am intrigued, she refers to science, I would like to see the science of why gay women make better footballers. Obviously this statement is intertwined with her political stance against Trump, and maybe she has allowed her emotions to reinforce her own view. Ultimately this kind of statement could leave heterosexual women excluded from football, if there is science to back it up.

 

I think it's probably the same science that says straight men make better footballers than gay ones - i.e. the science that doesn't actually exist.

 

I agree. It’s a nonsense - I can’t see any way in which a persons sexuality impacts their ability to play football. My wider point is in line with what I posted earlier - policitally motivated views that are liberal aren’t chastised, but more conservative or right wing views are. It’s a slippery slope and it’ll get worse, I think.

Even that is unscientific in my view. If she said that there will be gay women involved in football on a wider stage, absolutely. Unless, somebody has completed research, it is very hard say percentage wise.

 

Just read all 11 pages of this. Started off about freedom of speech then banding Muslims together as a whole. Left wing/Right wing views and our acceptance or not of them. Then on to whether football teams are better with gay players in them. Blinding headache. Think I need some new glasses. There's no doubt that human beings as a whole will never agree on anything. We're all different and will use any lever we can to achieve our objective. It's in our nature.
