This is just an embarrassment, if this is the 'official supporter representation' to Rahic's disastrous reign, then it's a pointless exercise.

'We can't be nasty to Mr Rahic, because that could be construed as bullying' is a particular lowlight.

He's destroyed the club from top to bottom FFS, you don't have to be insulting or bullying to get that point across.

As Dennis Healey once said of Geoffrey Howe: " It's like being savaged by a dead sheep."

You raise a valid point.

The Ambassador promotion came as an idea from me. Since it's launch in 2007 it's not been heavily promoted and there are a lot of misconceptions about the Ambassadors which is purely down to the fact that the scheme hasn't been communicated. That's by and large down to the fact that the original Ambassadors who started out over 10 years ago simply renew and renew (including me). In business, that's a nice problem to have and a great legacy of Mark Lawns.

The money goes into the upcoming season's accounts.

I wanted to bring 2 more people in. Two Ambassadors who travel home and way equates to 120 average season ticket sales net of VAT - So it's a good line of income. To promote the scheme I wanted to give a bonus to early adopters. The lifetime value of the sign-ups will benefit the club far beyond this season.

Good to see posts from both you and Roger, gives a different side to things I had no real idea on what the purpose of the ambassadors was before Roger posted.

 

BCST preparing their next statement

 

Having read some of his previous work on BCST website, I would suggest that he has indeed written this. What a load of crap.

 

It makes no sense whatsoever and is almost like a load of words written in the hope edin still wants to meet up with him.

Garbage statement and totally pointless.

 

Can someone tell me what a dictatorial manor is. Sounds like 10 Downing Street.

 

That pseudo-Marxist nonsense reads exactly like all the deluded Commie revolutionaries that higher education is littered with.

Bit of an over reaction Dennis to what was a humourous post not a political one but if it has offended your sensitive soul will try and obey your dictat ( Even though probably broached in the past by some without the same recourse in other posts ) The power of moderation is a power some fail to control,

 

I do not and never will believe the trust, I have had many dealings with them in the past when we were in serious trouble.... I have never been and never will be a fan of the trust.

I won’t bore you with more details but in a nutshell, they only ever wanted to take the credit for spotting the club was about to go under and take plaudits for saving it, they tried to highjack our (staff at the time) bandwagon when we, yes we, we were the ones who highlighted the problems and made people aware... they got short shrift that’s for sure..all they wanted was ‘a place on the Board’ and Manny could only ever talk about wanting safe standing, even if removing seats and making a new safe standing area would cost the club money they did not have he didn’t care.... it was always ‘me, me’ me....

They remind me of some sort of lickspittle clan of civil service-type sycophants who will follow the script no matter how moronic, because, as you suggest, it's a pain-free way to ensure continual self-advancement.

Start calling people out, and your progress will be hindered.

How stupid is that when they're actually a supporter's group (supposedly), not wannabe board members.

I don't think you're being cynical, I believe its been done for the very reason the club /Stefan needs to have an idea what sort of take up the club will get.
I think @Park bantam.will be correct with his comment that the deadline will be extended.

 

I wonder if they have actually spoken to their members to see what path to take.
