    Make me smile mate with regards Barrow etc we've been to some right dumps years ago, Southport, Barrow, Workington , Springfoeld Park Wigan, Chester, Wrexham.

    Health and Safety would have had a field day with the old kop toilets , steep steps , no lighting and icy in winter , an accident waiting to happen.
    I would not have classed Wrexham’s ground as a dump , even in the 60s it was a cut above most in the lower divisions.

    I very much doubt I was there, it was a Monday game apparently Barrow v Bradford City, 01 December 1969 which we won 1 - 0.

    Yes,we were promotion contenders then and Bobby Ham scored the winner.
    We were lucky mind,Barrow is a dead end place,literally down the peninsula
    to knowhere.Naval base back then.

    It's got quite modern now , most of the streets have electrickery , they've stopped human sacrifice's ( well almost ) and they have a large Morrisons near the BAE systems submarine factory . Some good pubs , thats of course if your standards arn't too high .
