Please do not be too seriously surprised. I have been a supporter since 1974 but I was away for 10 years plus which limited my ability to go to games during the period in discussion.

 

If most give, those who have given shouldn't need to give more.

 

i haven't, but you're expecting people to cough up more money without an explanation why they need to. how do they know it's not going into yours or someone else back pocket?

 

Did I read correctly that the flyover is a 15 minute time frame? If so does that include the plane getting to and from VP? or is that the time circling VP?

 

He makes a valid point though. A quote was supplied of £700. That is then increased by 20% just a couple of days later. Is it the company screwing us or did we misinterpret the costs? Was it always £700 plus VAT?

Isn't the reason given an increase in fuel costs. I have no clue about prices, or price changes recently of aviation fuel so don't know how possible that is

 

No need to get shirty. I have already backed you and the plan. But you can’t stop people being confused as to why the price escalated in just a few weeks.

We had a quote and fans were receptive to it. But then suddenly there is a need to increase. Of course those contributors are going to ask questions. Isn’t that what we are doing with Rahic???

 

Since making my donation, I had no reason to go back and re-read the JustGiving page.

But all irrelevant anyway. The quote of £600 (+VAT) has been increased by the company to £700 (+VAT), an increase of 16.7%. Now fuel prices may have gone up in the last few weeks, but by 16.7%? I understand the reason we have been given by Jon, but I’m not entirely sure the company are being honest with him/Nick.

It didn’t cost just a tenner though. It cost £600 plus VAT and now costs £700 plus VAT.

 

Make sure you get the prices in writing, or they could just lump extras on and blame fuel costs

 

Why are you losing your shit over this? Seriously, someone made a request for clarity on why it had jumped. I reiterated that because someone challenged him for daring to question it and now you (and others) are getting uppity about it. Why?

We know the reason given was fuel prices. The point being made is that fuel costs have NOT gone up by 17% in just a couple of weeks regardless of what you claim your increase to be (10p a litre. I don’t think so)...!
