Its funny reading the forums of both teams on the views on the opposition and how the truth is probably somewhere inbetween. Swindon fans think we are generally a physical team, poor on the ball and set up to defend whereas we think they rely on Doyle in large for their successful campaign so far, yet the opinion of our own clubs is somewhat different to that. In reality both sets of fans are correct to some degree. Whether Swindon like it or not, losing Doyle could be a dealbreaker in terms of their season, he's more influential than they think. We do have a reliance on set pieces and our success is based pretty much on defence. I'd expect both sides to be up there at the arse end of the season based on that they are less sh!t than most teams in the division.

I said the same when Flitcroft at Swindon. At least Bowyer is effective for you.

And you had 2 on target and scored a penalty...so your point is?

You're not good enough to finish in the top 3

Well i was hoping Swindon stood out somewhat but they've looked distinctly average in two games against us.

Swindon are a right salty bunch it seems. I guess that's expected when they see themselves as one of the big clubs, and then us and Plymouth come down a league.

Reading their forum you'd think they're the only team with injuries, and with that most of them missing one game...unlike months (Devitt, Donaldson, Riley, Reeves) and weeks on end (Ismail, Pritchard).

I don't understand their elitism honestly. You would think they play football akin to Liverpool and Man City, yet here we are after 2 games against them and we take 4 points, they take 1. Top of the league, you're having a laugh.

This is division 4. We are ALL crap except Swindon who are the only team in the division to have had injuries.

Quite right. As a spectator today I thought Swindon faded badly, in fact one who kept going was Caddis. Four points from a very average team just proves the Doyle effect when he is missing. If as rumoured Yates goes back to Rotherham and Doyle??? they will do well to be in the play offs in my humble opinion

Ah that is why they committed 17 fouls to our 14. Bookings 4 for them 2 for us. A penalty for them but a stupid handball, rather than a misplaced tackle and finally a Red Card to them.

I wonder what their thoughts are, about their own team being rather ‘physical’?

And this is where their fans don't see what we do ........... In both those games - They played without Doyle. Yet they still persist and insist they can cope without Doyles goals (others will step up etc) ...........
Not based on our two games against them, they can't ;)

Good point on Caddis. Much better than Henley or Mellor. Makes me wonder why he wasnt kept on tbh

Is Yates rumoured to be going back because Rotherham want to use him themselves or is their interest from another club that want to buy him?

As I understand it, he wanted League 1 football but wasn't taken on anywhere and ended up at Swindon after we had signed Longridge. Think it was only until January so in contract talks again.

IIRC correctly, Caddis was not for dropping down to League two.

But when you're out of work and the Bills trickle in with perpetual motion ........................................
